    si tech neck tite forming

Not sure if you're still looking for the answer, but yes it can be formed to some degree, even just by use and hanging the drysuit. My suit is a CF200 so it's a bit on the heavy side. Just by hanging the suit by a hanger with the ring edges resting on the hanger, the ring has naturally bent to...

    Questions about doubles

I'm using a DSS plate with double HP100's also. I'd highly recommend against trying to piece together doubles one tank at a time. Just keep an eye out for people selling a used set. Unless you're a big strong guy, I'd stick with either LP85's or HP100's. Also note that the Faber makes two...

    Si-tech Neck tite user experience?

The different versions are a bit confusing, as I think there are three versions. The very original one, which had some issues, then the one that replaced it, and now the newest very flexible one. I have what I think is the 2nd version, from last year, 2013. It's about as flexible as those...

    Wanted to buy Scubapro BC

It's funny how often I see someone post a request for some ultra-specific item on the board, and I think to myself what the person thinks the chances are of someone actually having that exact item with those details. Then I'll scroll down and see someone selling that exact item...

xDeep BLACK - bottom timer / computer features. Sold beginning Friday, July 26th !

On the positive side for xDeep, their computer has led to the creation of a thread arguably more exciting than the computer itself. :D

    New drysuit or not

For the record I'm diving a previously unused CF200 from 1995 and aside from the leaky dump valve I can't find any evidence of disintegration.

    I'm your instabuddy!

Freewillie, the reason many of us are posting that we'd happily dive with you goes beyond simple equipment configuration - it's because of your underlying dive philosophy and awareness. Even though we may not agree with an equipment choice, you've demonstrated through your post that you...

    New TLS350. Major Dampage.

As the others said I think it would help to do a pool swim test and see if the dampness is still evenly distributed or if you see just one spot or area of the t-shirt getting wet. Also, how often are you manually venting the suit? Even with a working valve, if you hold it open too long water...

DIY version of the sola 2100 FS video light?

I'm all for DIY, but with the new Impact video lights from DiveRightInScuba, do you think these are still worth it? Austin

    Overpriced OW class?

Just because a class is cheaper doesn't mean it isn't quality. Sometimes the cheaper classes are simply older instructors with small shops who haven't raised their prices much over the years or aren't trying to squeeze out every dollar.

    G260 front cover removal?

Yep, the same pin is on the later G250's. You pull it out, not push it in btw, in case it wasn't obvious.

MY CF200 trials and upgrade adventure - how I became my own drysuit repair man

Hey Phishphood. The neoprene seal is more difficult to get a water tight seal with, so I don't think it's a good choice for someone thin. The proper way to wear a neoprene neck seal is to roll and tuck the last inch back into itself, but this takes some adjusting, and is one more thing to...

MY CF200 trials and upgrade adventure - how I became my own drysuit repair man

Hey everyone, So last year I posted this thread about a new condition but old CF200 I picked up on ebay for $300. I decided to make a new thread chronicling the repairs and updates I've made to the suit since buying it. Hopefully this will serve as a guide of things to consider for people...

    Hollis LED 15 like new!

Since there aren't many reviews of this light I'll add that I have this light and have been very happy with it. I've used it in the murk of Boston and the caves of Ginnie. $400 is a great price, and if I didn't already have the same light I'd take it.

    Jetfin Collection / Fetish

I actually have an old set of jetfins that came with the size misprinted. They say "WEDIUW" instead of medium. Whoever set the dies for the stamp accidentally put the M's in upside down. I'm sure there must be others but I've never come across any!

Is there something better than a Faber LP 85 ?

As mentioned an HP100 or FX100 is pretty similar to an LP85. Don't confuse the Faber HP100 with the FX100. The FX100 is equivalent to other HP100's but there's also a Faber 3180psi HP100 (aka MP100) that is a repurposed boat anchor.

Buoyancy with Monster Tanks, and Other Newbie Questions

I think Tracy has a good point about 32lb of lift possibly coming up short with 30lb of lead, but you still may be able to cut down on the lead. Even with a 7mm wetsuit 30lb sounds like a lot, but then again, this is just arm-chair internet advice, so take it for what it is. A drysuit can be...
