Been there, done that, not fun. Had my inflator stuck open at the bottom of the line near a wreck, hit a diver above me while flying up; took a second but I wrapped my leg around the line to stop myself while disconnecting it with my hands.
In my personal experience, I've only been required a signed parent consent; half the time I haven't bothered getting a parent to sign it because the charter didn't check. I've done charter dives without being even asked to see a certification.
Hey all,
Been given a set of LP72 doubles, but of course, they have a "lining" that all threads relevant to LP72s say you don't want. What is bad about this lining and would tumbling remove it?
Cheers!

Not necessarily, the PADI Tech Basics distinctive specialty requires you...
New OTS owner here who dives in cold water, what route do hooded divers go when it comes to full face masks?
I performed an OOA drill the other night in the ocean, and when attempting to put the mask back on I realized how much of a pain in the ass it is to get it to seal.
I noticed that there...
XTX is the way to go. I dive the Hollis sidemount package (which I very much regret), but as soon as I can afford to do otherwise, I'll be getting the Apeks sediment package. As said above, the design is much better and the XTXs breathe much better.
Other than size, Hollis claims the M-1 has "Ultra Clear Glass" and the M-4 has "Standard Glass." I dive an M-4 as my primary, and an M-1 as my backup, but I haven't noticed the slightest difference between the two in terms of quality.
