@MolaSquared I'm using Tickopur R27 concentrate. The solution I use for ultrasonic cleaning is 5% Tickopur R27 dilluted in 60°C warm water. The result is great, but the product is not cheap. It's based on phosphoric acid as you might guess. All the best!

Opinion on rust inside scuba tank

Hi Rob, I took the pictures with my phone :) I guess you’re asking about the neck tread - it’s M25x2. To be honest the bottom worries me the most, because I can see cavities from corrosion. Does anyone know the limits for cavities from corrosion for steel cylinder 4.2 mm wall thickness?

@halocline , I recently purchased R108 in mint condition and I’m about to assemble a retro set, but unfortunately after the recent events in Europe the cockroaches are waiting on a queue in front of my closet where I store my regs :D All the best!

Opinion on rust inside scuba tank

Hi fellows, I would be very happy to hear your opinion on scuba tank rust visible on the attached photos below. It’s a steel tank, Faber 12l long made in 2004, 232 bar working pressure. I’m about to purchase it second hand and I would like to know if that’s safe. All the best!

    Info Servicing Scubapro MK2

Hi guys, I would like to share with you my recent experience with a second hand Scubapro MK2 regulator. The overall condition of this first stage was poor. There were external scratches on the body, light external corrosion, but what surprised me the most was the internal condition. When I...

    Question Degreasers for O2 Cleaning

Hi guys, I'm about to convert my Scubapro MK25Evo and S600 into O2 clean regs for deco stage. I have read several documents for O2 cleaning, however the recommended degreaser products are not available in my country. I see that in USA, Simple green is frequently used as a degreaser, but back...

Scubapro S600 Classic Demand Lever Issue

@couv no, I’m not the original owner of this regulator. I’ve purchased it second hand so there is a chance that someone have installed an aftermarket lever.

Scubapro S600 Classic Demand Lever Issue

Hi guys, Quick update to the topic. Today I received a genuine Scubapro replacement lever and I can confirm that the root cause of this problem is difference in length between the installed and the applicable to this model demand lever. The photo below shows both levers side by side. I hope...

Scubapro S600 Classic Demand Lever Issue

Thanks for the pictures lexvil. The defective regulator is S600 Classic - it has different look comparing to the regular S600 and one difference is the cracking effort adjustment knob. Initially I tought like you - it's something "home made", but once I checked the schematic - that's how it...

Scubapro S600 Classic Demand Lever Issue

Hi guys, Thanks for following the topic. The top of the demand lever effort arm I call "feet". I might use wrong technical term, so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, however I put pictures for better understanding. @lexvil there is some innovative craftsmen here indeed, but this regulator...

Scubapro S600 Classic Demand Lever Issue

Scubapro Service Kit Paper Bags with color dots

Hi guys, Despite the fact that I was expecting a very smart approach for parts segregation based on their functional group (intermediate section, high pressure section and etc.) the correct answer is that the service kit parts are composed by hand in the factory and with the help of color dots...

Scubapro Service Kit Paper Bags with color dots

Hi guys, Can anyone explain me, why the parts of the new Scubapro service kits are grouped in paper bags, sealed with color dots? What logic is used for grouping the parts? What means each color (red dot, green dot, black dot and etc.)? I'll be very happy to know what's the idea behind it...
