I followed Backscatters recommendations and set-up one of the "back buttons" for quick focusing which worked well most of the time. Prior to both dive trips (Coz & Red Sea) I shot a ton of images however there's nothing like stick time underwater. I'm looking forward to learning and fine tuning...

I'm diving with this rig for the first time as we speak in the Red Sea and I too came from a GoPro. I'll start by saying I shoot almost exclusively stills so I'm no help from a video perspective. I didn't have much luck with the settings provided by Backscatter however AUTO mode did work well...

Just pulled the trigger myself. After watching the related Backscatter video I'd like to get an actual users take on the praised quick white balance adjustment and the shooting modes folks are using. I'd also like to know if anyone is using the 4K burst mode for fast moving objects underwater...

Husband and wife set purchased in January of 2016 with ~30 dives on each. Looking to upgrade to the new AI version. $750 each or $1,400 for the pair.

I'm hopeful that when the Shearwater crew get's back from DEMA they'll respond positively to a potential upgrade path for existing Perdix owners:) I get the resale value piece however I'd like to avoid the associated gymnastics if possible.

I was thrilled to see that they’ve added the ability to display tank pressure as well as gas time remaining to the Perdix family. Unfortunately when I called to enquire about the details I soon learned there is no upgrade path for existing Perdix owners:mad:
