What is proper protocol if I were to boat out to a wreck in San Deigo to dive it, and I wanted to tie off to one of their moore's they have available? Is there some sort of reservation system to tie off or is it first come first serve or do certain company's own them?

That's what I did, but depending on where you live, getting there, launching, diving, getting back, still takes more than 4 hrs usually. Depends on how far you have to drive and launch.

I thought the news also said that some parts of the island are evactuating?

I can climb up to the swim step with no problem with gear on. The swim step is pretty big as well, so it should be pretty comfortable. I'll hopefully know more on that tomorrow.

I'm giving my Larson back to the dealer and getting a Maxum from him instead since I have had nothing but trouble with the Volvo Penta 5.7 Engine in the Larson. Any horror stories about a Maxum I should know of?

That is one big engine. I am picking up a new boat tomorrow, a Maxum this time. I'm crossing my fingers for the weekend.

It's a 5.7 Volvo Penta GS/SX. It has been back to the dealer 2 more times now due to engine issues and it died again yesterday. I brought it back again and told him to either give me a new engine or refund my money on the boat. Crossing my fingers that it goes in my favor.
