I have both, the Ultralight for my DSLR and Light & Motion for my GoPro. I have no complaints about either, but to me the Light & Motion tray is more suited for the GoPro. Very compact and light. I use Solas with it as well.
Thanks, yes that was Oil Slick Leap. The clips are not really in order, I believe the ray was seen at Bachelor's Beach. Did not see the manta we saw that last two trips. I am using the Light & Motion double tray and a Backscatter Flip 3 filter right now.

The video below is from my first time using a GoPro. This is the silver model with two Sola 1200s and the Backscatter Flip 3 filter. Have not done any color correction in post. Lot to learn but it sure is fun.

FWIW I have 3 1200 lights and have not had any trouble with them at all, I think they are great lights. I try charge them about every 3 months between dive trips.
I shoot a 5dMII with Canon 100mm and 17-40 and Ikelite housing/strobes and have been very happy. The Canon 60mm mentioned above would give you better flexibility (over the 100mm) between macro and larger subjects and is a great UW lens, but it will not work with your Mark II (full sensor).
You can't autofocus while actually recording though right? I just tried and while your suggestion works in live mode, the AF-ON button appears to have no effect during recording. Thanks for the info, this will help out anyway.
