This is my husband Don's jacket. I had one too but located his for the picture. He and I both certified in 1977. We met a year or so later through a local dive club. Don is YMCA and LA County certified. I certified with NASDS through Dive N Surf.
Congrats KathyV! Now you can become our St. Croix diving info specialist.
We dove St Thomas and BVI in 2016. Fun trip, chartered boat in BVI, lots to do topside as well as underwater.
I did not interpret the comment as a complaint about the government, just an explanation to us from the U.S. (the majority of their clients) that they don't have financial loans or help as some U.S. businesses do. It was an attempt to explain why there was no refund. I did not quote the entire...
From Cayman Compass:
"Tourism Minister Moses Kirkconnell confirmed Thursday that Cayman’s borders will remain officially closed until at least 1 Sept., and no cruise ships will be landing here before then, despite cruise lines advertising sailings to Cayman in August."
Cabinet confirms borders...
I bought my Hydros Pro in April, 2017. The shoulder attachment broke today after 123 dives. I will take it to the LDS where I purchased tomorrow and expect they will send it in and get it fixed and updated under the lifetime warranty. It's a great BCD. Hope the original problems are fixed and...
Late last night received an email. "Just a quick e-mail to let you know that the encounter that you submitted has been added as a new, previously unidentified giant sea bass!" GSB255.
Pretty cool. Thanks again for alerting me to their research.
I submitted the image after I posted here. I really enjoy diving Hermosa Reef but don't usually have camera with me. Soon we will be out scouting for lobster. Our boat is Bottomtime. A few years ago someone came by who thought they knew us. Probably thinking Max Bottomtime? Another...
My pictures are not as sharp as yours but clearly in the same spot, likely some of the same fish. Thanks for the info about the UC Santa Barbara research. These were taken on 8/20/2019.
I never knew Cameron but feel like I did from these posts. I sometimes dive with my 30 year old son. We do split up (although in not so deep and challenging conditions). I have rescued my husband a couple of times, successfully. I have rescued myself with a flooded scooter. Whatever happened...
Yes, afternoon is free time. I looked at my computer log, first dive is usually about 10:20am and second 12:30pm so not back to resort before 2pm or so. Lunch is typically about 2:30. Bar is open then and many people spend time by the pool. There are bicycles for use. Scooters, massage and...
My husband has been ill and we had to cancel. I let Roxanne at Maduro know this morning, so another room should be opening up. Hate to miss it. Glad someone else will be able to go.
66 and 78 and still diving! But we are selective about the conditions and who we go out with. We dive solo on our own boat in California in the cold waters. I don't climb the ladder in full gear, tie it off and haul it in later. Compromises that make it work.
Yes Brac Scuba Shack and Pirates Point do the heavy lifting, carrying the tanks and gear to the boat and back. Most divers do set up their own BC's and regs at PP. On BSS, they put them together for us. We don't mind and like to put together our own gear.
We dove with Cayman Brac Reef Resort...
