I run my fingers over the o-ring which tends to draw most things along to where I stop. Then remove what is there. Though for grains of sand you can feel them as you go along and they should be addressed when you find them.
That said in the end carefully visually inspect the o-ring after grease...
That is a lot of condensation... When I have had this happen what I found was a single very small fiber on the o-ring where the results were identical. A few drops of water and the desiccant sucking up the balance. In turn I redouble my efforts when inspecting the o-rings given I now realize it...
E-M1 or E-M1 mark II?
Point in fact I have the mark II which is substantively different than the older body where there are more phase difference points and it uses them in S-AF versus the older body which only used phase difference in continuous autofocus. While no focus system is perfect I...
From someone who came from a point and shoot moving to a E-M1 setup, it gets old dragging around a large setup on trips (e.g. camera bag w/ lenses + hard case with enclosure, strobes, etc). I'm at a point where I want to get a TG-6 to have something to take on trips where I don't want the burden...
I should follow up.
I have he RealShine (plastic) and AMX (aluminum) protector. After a lot of dives I wound up using the RealShine protector leaving the AMX behind. Why? Largely because the RealShine provides more protection around the overall case, though leaves the rim of the bezel around...
For reference here is what Shearwater had to say on this topic. My take is this is an Apple issue.
we are aware of this issue.
There is nothing we can do about it, unfortunately.
I have two different Apple MacBook Pro (MBP) laptops which have the same issue with respect to failed scanning for the Teric after the MBP comes out of sleep. A cold start of the MBP or rebooting cures the problem until next time I wake the machine to download new dives.

Indeed I picked up my vest last week where the vest that shipped is somewhat different than what is pictured on the Venture Heat website.
Notable is that MEC appears to be the OEM for the vest.

While I have zero experience with...
In April of this year I put a deposit on a Venture Heat vest where at this point it appears the best path is to obtain a refund from the dealer.
While I have tried to get an update on when these vests will ship from Venture Heat I'm coming up short. Does anyone have insight?
This is exactly my impression of this lens as well, matching a passage in Martin Edge's Underwater Photography book. With respect to performance behind Olympus's recommended flat port is very good in my experience.
I utilize the Olympus 12-40 f2.8 Pro behind an Olympus PPO-E02 flat port. I concur the lens works well for fish portraits and in a pinch usable for smaller objects.
I switched away from a S95 a number years ago where on a trip some people on the dive boat suggested I look into close out package deals from Olympus on a DSLR, enclosure and lens. Did my research, placed an order and the Olympus package was waiting at home when I returned.
While it's a lot...
Good question. I didn't wait to find out and lined the inside of the protector with strips cut from a roll of 3m polyurethane tape. While apparently the initial AMX protectors were a very tight fit, the one I purchased was rather loose. The 3m material fills the gap, point in fact.
Note the 3m...
My AMX bezel protector shipped with a pair of 2.5x20mm o-rings.
I was targeting a cross-section which would fit between the computer and its band, where the larger 2.5mm OEM o-ring simply put wouldn't fit on both sides of the band causing the band to resist wrapping around the wrist.
That said...
I honestly don't use it, allowing autofocus to get close then moving the whole rig slightly to refine the focus. That said I have the focus gear in place on the lens.
I was afraid of this where somewhere I read a person apparently had to force the protector onto the Teric. The manufacture might assume the protector will deform to fit and be left in place. That said I can only imagine corrosion over time though I haven't investigated how aluminum interacts...
I have the RealShine protector though admit first because of Covid travel shutdown, now airline seats doubling in cost, I have not actually used it extensively on a drive trip.
That said I researched alternatives that potentially are easier to remove without breakage where I found AMX's...
