I’ve dove with an assortment of split fins, eddy fins, f1’s and also scubapro jet fins. For me, the scubapro jetfins by far surpasses all the other fins I’ve used. It’s fantastic for all different kicks and also gives really good propulsion.
So, for those of you that send your regs away to be serviced, who are you using? I have a bunch of the older Hollis DC1/212 regs and also a couple Hollis O2 regs. I’m on the west coast in Southern California. Do you guys know anyone good out here, or are you shipping your regs out to a service...
I had a light monkey tinkle valve installed on my drysuit. When using it, do I leave it open for the entire dive, or do I only open and close when I need to pee?
Do any of you know of a website where I can check for current conditions at the Dive Park? Any of you been diving there recently? What's vis been like?
Specifically, I'd like to know what conditions are looking like out there this Saturday.
Thanks
DJ
I dove Divers Cove two weeks ago. There were two solo divers there during the time I was there. They said that the solo diving rule is not being enforced anymore and they dive there solo all the time now. I would check though with one of the life guards, or someone from the city. I have not...
I use Bonine. I take two pills an hour before getting on the boat. Works great for me. I never used to get seasick, but it happened recently on two dive boats I was on. Got so sick I couldn't dive. This way I don't waste the money I spent on the dive trip.
Haven't had any issues diving sidemount in California. Every boat I've been on has been fine with the extra gear or with passing cylinders down or back up for entry and exits.
