Nice! If you’ve done sipadan then the other west Malaysia dives aren’t going to quite match up. Thailand is ok but Indonesia - Raja Ampat, Komodo... those are fantastic. But harder to get to and will require time. If you’re spending much time with family in the Penang/KL but still feel the urge...
Ditto. I have the Titanium Mako and tried mounting on the Scubapro Go BCD but got scratched up and so ended up strapping it to the inside of my calf. Good knife though.
I too don't think a shoulder dump is necessary but my Rogue has it, so whatever. More importantly (for me at least) the Rogue has SS D-rings and pockets when I need them; the lack of which were my Outlaw dealbreakers. What would make the Rogue near-perfect (again, for me) is to be able to swap...
I’ve always clipped away my SPG to a lower D ring on my BCDs using a SS double ender. You do need to practise doing it by feel and without looking though, until it’s second nature and you can unclip to view and then stow your spg in one continuous motion. With the Rogue, the lower D-ring on the...
Thanks for the tip!
Actually my concern, instilled in me by my family’s instructor who is a strong proponent of safety, is more in the admittedly unlikely event that I should become unconscious and the rescuer needs me to be safely afloat face out of water while he attends to things. If...
So I finally bought the Rogue and did 9 dives with it in Redang Island, Malaysia. Here's a quick review that may hopefully benefit those considering it but like me couldn't find any reviews.
1. Firstly, it is NOT as lightweight as is represented on Aqualung marketing. Dry, without the Surelock...
Hi Nathan,
I was wondering if you've had that second chance to try out the Rogue? If so, what were your impressions this time?
In particular, I'd like to know if you had perhaps tried threading a trim weight into the tank band which I'm told by other back inflation users would help with not...
I don't think there is an 11 pound wing option for the Rogue (there were two bladder size options for the Outlaw, but again I'm hoping to get user feedback specific to the Rogue). If you do get the Rogue for your son, I'd be interested to know his/your feedback to my original questions.
Haha! I had to google BarcaLounger :D
I'm aware that weight placement affects vertical position on the surface. My question was more specific to whether the Rogue in particular can keep you upright with just weights in the unorthodox mounting position of the kidney weight pockets or whether...
So the Aqualung Rogue BC seems to be checking all the right boxes for me. But before I pull the trigger, I'm looking for as many user reviews as I can get and I have a couple of questions I'm trying to find answers for.
I currently use a Scubapro Go BC which I bought in a hurry some years ago...
Thanks for all the suggestions! For some reason, a reply i posted earlier is still awaiting moderation (!). I didn't know posting pics on this board needs to be moderated.
Anyway I thought maybe this just might be the ticket for what I had in mind:
SCUBA Diving Equipment for Technical...
Cool! So no safety issues you think?
I think this particular one might be quite effective as it supposedly grips the tank well...

Hi... I'm a warm water rec diver who hasn't gone down the BP/W route. (please don't shoot! :D)
Lately, been thinking about alternative ways to neatly carry a pre-rigged SMB-finger-spool-double-boltsnap bundle without:
- attempting to stuff it all into a bc pocket (which already has to hold...
