They aren't allowed for purchase? The shop just confirmed I can. Where do I find official Mexico information on the Marine Park? I can't find it anywhere and I'm getting conflicting information on facts and fees from every shop I called.
I just called Dressel and they charge 2$ usd/day/person for the marine park fee. So I guess it makes more sense to just buy the bracelets at the hotel. Not sure why all the dive ops aren't on the same page about this mysterious park fee.
so why not just pay $21 for a weekly bracelet. I have to worry about getting a new one everyday? I'm just curious b/c I will probably do some afternoon/night dives with a different op.
Thanks for the feedback, I will most likely check out Dressel for the afternoons dives/night and social aspect. I'm hoping to get some quality photos on the morning dives so I don't have to bring my rig in the afternoon.
I called DWM and they also can accomodate us for the week. I was bit skeptical as they only accept cash. I like the small boats and 8am dock pick-up though.
I booked with Dive Palancar for the week. Nothing against Dressel I just don't prefer that style of operation/scheduling, plus i heard their guides are foreign. Christi, are you booked for the week?
Staying at the Iberostar next Fri-Fri. I don't normally stay at big resorts like this and use the resort dive boat but it's x-mas and my wife likes big resorts. Need help deciding between on-site Dressel or Dive Palancar. Heard great things about Dive Palancar and I'm leaning towards them...
What if you were interested in seeing sharks and fish in Guadalupe? I'm not referring to just any shark. Cocos is traditionally known for schools of hammerhead. Now as of recent there is an abundance of Tiger sharks which add extra elements of risk the divers may not be aware of.
