I have don’t have ScubaPro regs - was just commenting based on the DIN vs yoke pics.
Thanks for that info on 200 vs 300 bar DIN thread depth - makes sense.
It was easier/faster for the boat crew on the Raja Ampat LOB I did last year to refill yoke setup tanks in place as the fill whip was a yoke connector.
For DIN reg setups, they had to remove and reinstall the DIN to yoke tank valve insert every time they did a refill.
And not your thread… but I’ll avoid expanding the narrow focus you seem to be able to tolerate here. Better yet, ignore so I don’t even see you anymore!
You must be a blast at parties… I’d suggest you need to relax a bit… folks were commenting on the state of the reefs in Bonaire and it led to comments on the state of the Caribbean in general. Seems logical extensions of the conversation and not so off topic to evolve a discussion a bit. I’ll...
After you’ve been to Indonesia, you realize the Caribbean is largely dead - I still like diving there as it’s way cheaper and easier to get to… but it absolutely pales in comparison.
That said, I did see some large sections/rolling fields of healthy mustard hill coral and some decent stands of...
Some of us intend to use our regs for life so how a dive shop handles cheap rental regs is not really the "standard of care" for regulators that I want to follow for mine.
Great - so do that. Post a link and keep it updated!
Why should they publish and have to maintain on a website when it takes a few seconds to call them to get that info - either in advance when planning a trip or if/when issue arises and you need it. I’d rather get the info live than rely on...
It can happen if you soak an Atomic regulator unpressurized due to their seat saver feature - regardless of the dust cap being in place. I bought a little 6 cu ft tank to be able to soak my regs pressurized in the tub when I get back from a dive trip.
I don’t get why Agressor didn’t cancel the trip due to the port closure as that would have allowed folks to file a claim with their trip insurance. By not doing this, they pretty much screwed folks in 2 ways: #1: they didn’t deliver the trip that folks paid for and won’t refund and #2: they...
I’m sorry you had to go through this, but thanks for posting about your experience here.
This is yet another example of why I would never even consider a trip with Agressor Fleet - I’ve read far too many stories of issues with them here and they do not seem like an Op with any integrity!
That “simple search” gave you a reference to SCTLD on Grand Cayman (which was well known here) - it does not talk to it being found in Cayman Brac or Little Cayman.
I'm sure it happens everywhere. Easily fixed with eye monitoring systems like some cars already have - i'm actually surprised they have not added this as it would be quite easy to fall asleep when at cruise altitude and the plane is on full autopilot and the crew is just monitoring instruments.
