    Bare Reactive Wetsuits--Anyone tried them?

I have the 5 mil and it is very warm. It's not magic. I have a 7 mil Bare Elastek which is warmer, but a bear to put on. I agree that Bare hyped the features a little too breathlessly, but if you can get one at a discount, I think it's probably worth it.

Thanks for this info. I got the e.motion+ last year, but have been using wet gloves so far.

    Has DRIS jumped ship?

I am a long time customer of DRIS and will continue. They're more responsive, cheaper, and nicer than any other dive shop, local or mail-order. They have consistently delivered on time and for less money. The one and only time there was an issue with a shipment, they immediately made it right...

    Drysuit vs Wetsuit

I second Marie13 -- Dive Right In Scuba are the drysuit experts. I use them even though I am in New York. If you are anywhere nearby, go visit. Their advice and prices are great.

    Santi emotion+ drysuit

I got a Santi e.motion+ in July for New England diving. First drysuit. I have about ten dives on it so far. Seems great. I got the custom fit from DRIS because I just couldn't find an off-the-rack size that matched my dimensions, even though I am a pretty standard 40 regular in a business suit...

    Undersuit advice

So I bought an awesome drysuit. Like most of my other purchases in life, I set out to find an inexpensive, decent one and instead bought the best, most expensive one I could find. I also got a heavyweight undersuit that feels like it will keep me warm in January here in the Northeast. I ordered...

For Sale Two Faber Hp80 Steel Tanks - New York - $175 Each - Sold

I have two Faber HP80 Scuba Tanks. I bought them new in July. Hydro date is 2/2015 and Vis is 7/2015. They are grey and come with pro valves (DIN or yoke). These are awesome tanks -- high performance and good looking too. They have some very minor surface imperfections from the ten or so dives I...

Product Review: New “Generation 2” BARE SB Drysuit

What a sad end to this thread. You had me convinced to go out and buy the SB as my first drysuit. Thanks for all the great info though.

    Hello from Boston Mass

Diving Cape Cod Bay is an acquired taste! I too am looking at dry suits. A buddy remarked that watching me put my wetsuit on was like watching someone try to put on a truck tire.

    Ai Power Inflator Release Date

Thanks fellas. I guess I could have answered my question with a quick google search. Anyone have an opinion whether the Atomic is worth it over generic inflators?

    Where to buy gear

If you haven't yet, I highly recommend requesting and reading Jim Lapenta's gear guide. I think it was the single best set of gear-buying advice that I received.

    Weight Belts and Buckles

I took the new rig to the pool. It was great. I get the bp/w enthusiasm over conventional bcds. Jim Lapenta - thanks again for your guide. It should be handed to all new divers before they invest in equipment. What type/brand pockets did you mount on Mako belt? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Weight Belts and Buckles

I am in the process of moving from a conventional BCD to a BP/W. I rented a Halcyon rig at my LDS to try it out and really liked it. I am on my way to Vieques in two weeks, so I thought it would be a nice excuse to get something light for travel and then assuming all goes well, get another...
