I know you did yours with SDI, but for PADI, I just got my DM cert a couple weeks ago. For PADI, my DM application was processed within 3 working days of them receiving my paperwork. I was able to acces the PADI Pro site and see my status. The actually card arrived a week later.
My wife dives with a FFM and she took hers last year to both Dominican Republic and Tobago and there was no issue. We have our own equipment so her reg set was setup for it so we didn't need to ask the shops to alter their rental equipment. Not sure if that would be an issue
I'm going to Singapore in a few weeks on a business trip and I would love to go diving.
My issue is that I only have weekdays available. I fly in on a Sunday and depart on a Saturday.
I reached out to a few dive shops and they only do their diving on weekends.
Does anyone know of a dive shop...
High Tide Scuba uses Wheeler sometimes. That is where I did my AOW a couple years ago. They are actually going to be there this coming weekend for a small OW class
I did my AOW (and further certifications) with High Tide Scuba. You can give them a call. They are in Mansfield, but all the shops in DFW will do the AOW
You would typically do your deep dive at Clear Springs where you just hit 60'
Thanks. This worked.
When I first saw the screws, I thought they went into specific holes and I thus I didn't see how it would help with the adjustment, but I did as you suggested, I was able to rotate the hood and now it's aligned properly. It stays aligned even after remove the lens and...
I just got the UWL-04 fisheye lens today and was trying it on my TG-5 housing.
I believe that when screwed on, the long petals need to be on the top and bottom, but when I screw it on, it ends up being almost to the sides. It's not even directly to the sides, sort of askew.
Is there a trick...
I recently did Tec40 last month. Prior to that I had done Rec Sidemount.
For Tec40, my instructor did both Tec40 and Tec Sidemount together and he didn't charge me for the Tec Sidemount class. I only had to pay for the certification card so at the end of the course, I got two certifications...
You are correct in that it doesn't explain why it didn't work with my wife's laptop.
The error I got on her laptop was different so I have to assume it failed for some other reason.
I did get suggestions to remove her Perdix and start "fresh" on her laptop, but I didn't want to screw around...
Following up on the problem......the new dongle came yesterday and once I swapped it out, the Perdix starting to sync. So it seems that I did in fact have a bad BT dongle.
It took a while to get the replacement, but Shearwater was great in getting the issue resolved.
I was actually on the phone last week with Shearwater trying to figure out what was going on. The developer I was working with had me try a bunch of things, but he ended up leaning towards a bad Bluetooth dongle and so they are shipping a new one to me. It hasn't arrived as yet.
I'm not...
My desktop doesn't have built in bluetooth so I have to use the dongle from Shearwater. My wife's laptop has built in bluetooth and I am using that.
As I mentioned, my wife's Perdix syncs just fine with her laptop, but mine does not. Since hers works, I know the bluetooth on her laptop is...
I did try different USB ports, but the fact that I can't connect to my wife's laptop when her Perdix works fine with her laptop leads me to think that it's not a Bluetooth issue
The Perdix is only 2 weeks old and I was using the battery that came with it. I just changed to a new one anyway based on your suggestion, but it still doesn't work.
My wife has a Perdix so I did some other tests and I'm thinking there may be an issue with my Perdix as opposed to an issue with...
