Lol on the buffet! Hotel coz would be my choice, but trying to get a backup plan if tanks and/ or gear isn't available through them.

Thanks, I'll check into that. I contacted Dive Paradise and they wont reserve tanksfor that and cant guarantee any day thay they will have tanks available..

It's a matter of preference, I have been diving 80+ feet, I prefer longer bottom time and the colors at 30-40. In the Cozumel current wouldn't we probably be pulled far ahead of the deeper divers if we stayed on top of the wall?

Yes, I realize this, but we are fairly new divers and don't want to be away from the group/dive master. Hiring a private DM for every dive is not an option.
