If you're into muck diving, Aniloa, Philippines, should be on your list. We loved it because of the ability to enjoy muck or "aquarium reef" diving on the same day:

Well; if you ever get to Iceland, which is beautiful enough without the diving - Silfra definitely is worth checking off any dive wish list. We did the 5-day dive tour with Fraser, at dive.is, and can't recommend it enough.

Max depth for non-tech divers is about 40-50 ft. Water temp just above freezing. But in a drysuit, I really didn't mind the temp. Sure; your cheeks go numb within a minute or so, but I didn't find it the least bit problematic. I've had much colder "cheek" issues skiing. Definitely worth the...
