    Best Teric band ?

Brilliant! Solves the pin-loss issue, wetsuit compression issue and wearing while not diving issue with one simple solution. Just ordered a couple for my dive buddy and myself. Thanks!

Proposed bp/w set up - comments please

Thanks - so it does sound like I'll need two straps. Not just for safety, but because a bp/w is designed in a way that you need two straps to secure the setup due to the location of the slots in the plate. My jacket bcd only has a single strap, but it's located in the vertical center, so holds...

Proposed bp/w set up - comments please

OK - resurrecting this as I didn't see any responses to the OP's question about using Apeks Grip Lock Cam Bands. I'm in the process of making the switch from jacket to bp/w and like the functionality of the Apeks Grip Lock Cam Bands, but am not sure if they are a good fit for a bp/w setup. It...

    Covid-19 policies for Indo liveaboards

I've had a liveaboard trip in Indonesia on the books for more than a year, but given that it's scheduled to depart in early May, I'm assuming it's not going to happen at this point (either because it will be cancelled or I won't be able to get there). Are there others who have Indo liveaboard...

    Bucket list dive spots?

If you're into muck diving, Aniloa, Philippines, should be on your list. We loved it because of the ability to enjoy muck or "aquarium reef" diving on the same day:

    Bucket list dive spots?

Red Sea is on our list, as well. Totally agree with cenotes around Tulum. Here's a short video of a dive we did at the Calavera (Temple of Doom) cenote a couple years ago: We'll be checking out San Clemente!

    Bucket list dive spots?

You really should consider going for it! Here's the promo video from dive.is for their 5-day dive trip: It's pretty much what we experienced - plus some amazing land-base add-ons.

    Bucket list dive spots?

Well; if you ever get to Iceland, which is beautiful enough without the diving - Silfra definitely is worth checking off any dive wish list. We did the 5-day dive tour with Fraser, at dive.is, and can't recommend it enough.

    Bucket list dive spots?

Max depth for non-tech divers is about 40-50 ft. Water temp just above freezing. But in a drysuit, I really didn't mind the temp. Sure; your cheeks go numb within a minute or so, but I didn't find it the least bit problematic. I've had much colder "cheek" issues skiing. Definitely worth the...

    Bucket list dive spots?

Definitely one of our most unique and amazing dives. Here's an edited version of our 40-minute dive July 2019:

We need 3-4 more divers to fill Forgotten Islands liveaboard (and save big $)

We have a group that is booking the entire Damai II in the Forgotten Islands, Indonesia, May 2-14, 2020 and have 3 spots left to meet the minimum needed (can take 4 more). Booking the entire boat gives us a nice discount. If anyone is interested in joining us, please PM me for more info. You can...

Booked first trip to Coz... what to expect?

Re: the cenote dives - You're points are well taken. We had already completed two Dos Ojos dives with our DM/guide, so he had a sense of our skill level. You wouldn't know it from the video, but we actually were never far from a fast exit. We haven't dived Devil's Throat (we wanted to this...

Booked first trip to Coz... what to expect?

We just got back from a Coz/Tulum trip over the holidays. This was our first cenote diving and we're hooked. Definitely not for new divers, though. We dove with Lucas, at Easy Chango and had a great experience. Check out the YouTube videos we uploaded to give you a sense of a couple of our...
