Link? I'm not finding that on the Blue Angel Resort page.

    First Cozumel Trip

I had great experiences and dives with both Tres Pelicanos and Blue-XtSea down there. I don't think you can go wrong with either. I've heard good things about Aldora Divers as well, along with several others. There's a bunch of threads with "top dive shops in Coz" here on the board. Have fun!!

Direct flights to Coz airport in late July - early August

Oops, typo. I think Google uses the ITX matrix now, I need to check. I use to love ITX, but now Google is great, except it doesn't have SouthWest. You have to go to SW's own site for their fares. I'm spoiled, Denver to Cancun flights are almost always super cheap. But I do the ferry.

    Cruise Ship Damage?

Don't they get huge fines from the Coz Gov. when they anchor anywhere outside designated zones?

Direct flights to Coz airport in late July - early August

Plug Miami and Coz into Google flight matrix. Click on the date field to pull up the nice "entire month view". Click different departure days and it will show you fares. Click the checkbox for <no stops>, although those are limited and expensive. Repeat for JFK/LaGuardia departure. My...

COZUMEL 2019 TRIP REPORT You won't believe this.

@Thook - Thanks so much for the thorough, detailed, and thoughtful reviews. I will avoid Allegro and ProDive for sure! Sticking with Blue~XTSea and Tres Pelicanos. <3 Might try Aldora sometime though too.

Glad he caught it in time. Where was this and what dive company were you out with?

    Recommendations for Tulum Mexico

For people who've dived both Cozumel and Tulum, what were your favorite sites off Tulum? Or do the operators just travel to the same sites on the south side of the Cozumel reefs?

Scuba Diving in Lake Superior for 'Glowing rocks' sodalite

Cool. I think I have Sony Movie Studio HD Platinum still in the box, but it might be many years old. I'll have to check it out, now that I have a ton of GoPro video to play with from half a dozen trips! I've never done video editing, but I have a very powerful gaming laptop that should handle...

    Shark Scratching

Yep, just like a dog with a flea, lol. Love 'em too. Especially the groups that follow you around on almost every Belize dive I went on. They live divers, probably because the DM's always feed them speared Lionfish.

Combo: Cabo Diving & Whales in Magdalena Bay

Yeah, that's my idea, just two main activities, Mag Bay whales and Cabo dives, maybe two boat trips. And not going to do any expensive "eco camps", talk about a racket. How difficult is it to rent a car? Pretty simple? I assume it's all cash-only everywhere, at least in my experience that's...

    Georgia Aquarium dive, worth it?

Guess I'll be the exception here. Sorry for the novella, but I tried to include all the details, hopefully convince anyone on the fence that it's worth the steep price. I can now say I've done three of the bigger "Whale Shark" dive spots in the Western Hemi. Belize (Gladden Spit), Isla...

Combo: Cabo Diving & Whales in Magdalena Bay

I'm in the preliminary stages of planning a late February trip to Baja, where I've never been. I've done Coz and Belize, but never the West side. A perfect trip would be a few days diving the best spots off Cabo and a few days whale watching on Mag Bay, getting a hotel in Puerto San Carlos, or...

Cabo diving in late January/early February - water temps, critters?

nwflyboy, are you flying Alaska Air from Seattle down to LAX then Loreto, or how are you getting to Cabo? I was about to make a new thread about whale watching trips out of Magdalena Bay area, and found this post. I'm probably just flying from Denver to Cabo since that's relatively cheap...

First Coz trip - need help planning

Wow, good to know! I never heard that, in fact quite the contrary, even from a dive guide with Rainbow Reef in the Keys, and someone in Cozumel (forgot which outfit, so will remain nameless). They both said you're totally fine to dive the day after you arrive, but maybe they meant like 99.9%...
