here in Marathon and having trouble finding a boat to go scuba diving. Several ops do snorkel & diving, but won't let me go with snorkelers unless the have another diver (to buddy with) or I hire a guide...$100. A lot of snorkel trips, not much in way of dives, yet. Is this normal for the area...

Anybody have any input on "A Deep Blue Dive Center" in Marathon, Florida? I would like to do my AOW cert this June when I'm down there and I noticed that they were walking distance to where I'm staying. Would be real convenient, if they are a good shop. Thoughts?

Any thoughts on doing some beach dives after this Tropical Depression / Storm pushes through? Not really concerned about "good" vis, I did a few this summer with only about 1-2 ft vis. How long after a storm like this do the beach dive conditions become "safe/acceptable" Thanks
