How about liveaboards? Any suggestions on boats or specific areas?

I too am interested in diving Fiji. Is it a good place to do a live aboard experience? Also, is November a good time? Or, is January better?

Wow, thanks for all your suggestions! We have decided to do Roatan and take our chances. We are principally looking to dive, and are on a moderate budget. Also, we are Canadians, so sadly, the US dollar is taking a gouge out of us right now!

Thanks beluga 2. We do have our Open, Advanced and Dry suit certs. Just wanting more training.

My husband and I want to do our Deep Diver Certification, but I must say, I'm not looking forward to going back into the dark waters of Vancouver with a Drysuit. Maybe we should do our Deep Cert. when we are in Roatan. What outfits are the best?

Cozumel is awesome! We dove with Deep Blue; nice small boats; very professional outfit. I would recommend Chiaki or Alessandro, but they are all good.

We are planning a week diving in Roatan in November (I know it's the rainy season, but it must be better than Vancouver!). Anyone have any experience with this? I've been reading that we should perhaps stay on the south side. I had planned to stay at Seagrape (just east of West End). Advice?
