grand cayman accommodations - shore diving hidden gems

We have stayed at Shanghai-La B&B a couple of times. We like the fact it’s up in West Bay and away from the crowds. Very nice inn, breakfast included. Off season considerably cheaper. My wife doesn’t dive but likes to snorkel. Fairly close to Cemetery Beach, great snorkeling. I dive with...

    Cape Cod diving

I have lived on Cape most of my life. I used to surf here, used to dive a lot here. I decided a couple years ago it was too risky. When I was in high school, early 70’s, a large group of seals would have made the newspaper. Now with an estimated population of over 30,000 seals it is impossible...

    Turks and Caicos

Been to TC several times. I’ve always gone with DiveProvo, friendly, well run. The boat rides are not short but you’re on vacation. The water is typically very clear. I agree with other posts, you’ll probably see reef sharks on every dive. French cay and the wall at West Caicos are my favorites...

I actually arrived in Grand Cayman yesterday for a “dive vacation”. Needless to say based on what has been mentioned and what...

    Aortic aneurysm....end of the dive?

Hi. I have been struggling lately with the decision lately of whether I should continue diving or call it day. I am 61 years old and had an ascending aortic aneurysm discovered 5 years ago during a CT scan for another issue. The specifics are “ the root measures 4.3 cm, the ascending aorta...

Key Largo - Looking for Seasoned diver thoughts

We were down there last month. Very windy conditions kept the boats in port several days. Did some reef diving with Conch Republic. Went out with Rainbow Reef on a rough day. Did one dive on the Speigel- 4-6 waves, mild current , 78 degree water, vis about 20'. Fun but I was disappointed with...

We have been renting from Grace Bay Rentals each time down there, most recently mid November. Fast in and out, small cars, clean, friendly staff. Never had an issue. Highly recommend.

Cape Cod Bay, Wellfleet, Ma: Shark hit a Porpoise Aftermath

I was on the boat in the background of your video that day. We were spreading my father- in-laws ashes in the place he loved most. You paddled by and pulled up on the shore to view the Atlantic White Sided Dolphin. There had been a couple of dolphin strandings a few days earlier in the harbor...
