    Looking for Buddy : Westpunt

My buddy is likely not gonna make the trip, but I am scheduled to arrive Marazul Tuesday afternoon and staying until the 16th. PADI Assistant Instructor, Enriched Air Certified (but not necessary to dive Nitrox) with over 400 dives. This will be my 5th trip to the island and I know the shore...

    eastpoint diving

I would love to dive the East Side with a small operation, but only am available Feb 13, 14 or 15 which doesn't jive with Dive Charter's schedule. Just me, I am a very experienced diver. Any recommendations?

The way I interpret the requirement is the test must be done within 48 hours of departure from city of origin, in my case Peoria, Illinois. Not within 48 hours of the actual flight into Curacao. Someone please correct me if I wrong, but once they put you on your initial flight, the airline is...

Not looking good for February 8 departure for me. Due to the surge, its taking a minimum of 72 hours to get the results of a PCR test here. Im not good at math, but if Curacao requires a PCR test taken within 48 hours of departure, im SOL.

What is the potential for lockdown? Maybe we should chip in for a compressor.

    Planning a trip to Curacao

Curacao is much more shore dive friendly than Grand Cayman. We stayed near Bonnie's Arch on GC. Shore diving was good, but it is a pretty lengthy swim to the buoys where the best diving is and there can be a bit of a current. Boat diving on GC was expensive and not particularly impressive.

    Sandy Bay

Can't say enough about the professionalism displayed by Blue Island Divers, December 5th thru 10, 2021. Took care of inexperienced divers, while still catering to more seasoned clientele. Heaps of bottom time. Reef stewards. Great captain. Fun shop too.

    Just arrived on Curacao

FYI, only an antigen test is acceptable to enter USA from Curacao. $20 versus the $90 I forked over. Doh!

    Just arrived on Curacao

They ain't screwing around down here. Down the throat and way up the nose for that PCR test. But such good diving and empty beaches. The locals are so cool, as are the snow birds. Thanks Curacao.

    Just arrived on Curacao

Interesting, I assumed your departure city was that in which you flew into Curacao from, in your case MIA. Also, good to get confirmation that test to reenter is 3 calendar days versus 72 hours. But I thought it too had to be the deep test, not just antigen, and that cost $100 USD plus. Now...

    Covid in Curacao

Does anyone have recent experience here? How is the overall safety in supermarkets, dive shops, etc. I am aware of the entry and exit requirements, just want to have as much knowledge as possible as I do not want to be denied boarding my return flight to the US. Thanks
