Petrel giving battery change notification without battery change while on deco.

I am going to take the Petrel on a trip with multiple dives a day for about 10 days and would hate for this to happen, so I will try the SAFT battery as well, but just to make sure, are you guys talking about the 3.6v lithium SAFT battery?

    Travel fins

Thanks for all of the feedback guys! I ended up going with the Aeris Accels. They are extremely light (the pair weighs less than one of my previous Scubapro twin jets), short and easy to pack. When I first got them I was afraid they weren't going to be powerful enough because they were so short...

    Travel fins

Hi everyone, so, long story short, an airline lost one of my bags during my last trip and I am in the market for new fins. I had a Scubapro twin jet for 10 years and really liked it (except when there was a current), but lately I've found myself frog kicking more and more, and the twin jets are...

    OMS IQ Pack

+1 That's exactly what I did, the pads on the shoulders added no comfort, for me they actually got in the way and made the whole thing too tight around my neck. I have used the comfort harness without the pads now for like 5 years, best BC I ever had.

Why no WARM UP when diving?

Personally, and especially depending on the type of fins that I am using, if I don't stretch the muscles in my legs I get cramps while diving.

Anybody diving a Uwatec Galileo SOL?

It is amazing how people nowadays want to force their point of view on others. Just because the features are not attractive to you, it doesn't mean that other people have to think like you think. In other words, you don't need to "get it". Why do people drive ferraris? Why do people fly first...

    Pinky thingy

Rock? No! :) I'm not sure if I would be able to tell from only the first picture, it looks really odd there. But it looks much more like the usual cup coral on the second photo...

    Goliath groupers

While you are right that there are no endangered species on the menu, there is plenty of evidence showing that commercial fishing is having a tremendous impact and drastically reducing the populations of *all* grouper and snapper species in the entire Caribbean (including Florida). I think the...

    Goliath groupers

    Goliath groupers

Yes, shooting it is like shooting a telefone pole. A three year old can shoot a Goliath :) , that's why they are so vulnerable. Bringing it back to the boat is an entirely different matter. It is not rare to see many individuals with scars or even spears stuck to them in places where fishing is...
