Nobody suggest you should add weight just so you can have air in your wing. That would mean overweighting yourself.
Sounds to me like you have several litres of air in the suit in the beginning of the dive that should/could be in the wing, though.
Like some others mentioned here, I also had no problems with such valves when I got them on a liveaboard. I must admit, though, that I was skeptical at first.
I actually found it easier to loop the bungy than with my long extension ports.
How thick are the bungys do you use? I can imagine...
Actually, it does. It's a bit of a workaround, though:
1. Go to Dive Setup -> Deco Planner
2. Set target depth, RVM and time = 5 min (minimum allowed)
As long as the intended bottom time is within NDL for the gas & GF, the computer comes back with something like "No Deco Stops. Total NDL at...
I’d love to see those saying “I can mamage at 180ft on air, I built up tolerance” performing non-trivial skill for which they do not have muscle memory (trimming liftbag neutral, learning new knots, cutting self from serious entaglement) on air on camera.
Scubapro S600. Doing 100-250 cold water (Denmark) tech dives in the sea - full service every year. If I feel any deterioration in WOB, IP check/service right away.
620ti is great, I had 2 of them before an airline lost them.
What you need to keep in mind, though, is that regs with titanium core cannot, ever, be oxygen serviced - so you cannot use them as deco regs above with O2 above 40%.
Adding lights might help - you need to set them in a way they hit the object only by the egde of the cone, an only as little water between the lens and the object as possible.
Hi guys,
I am looking for recommendations for a Medical Health Professional for my girlfriend.
Earlier this year (January), she had a near miss on a liveaboard (Egypt) - current and waves pushing her under the boat as she tried to exit the water, triggering a full-blown panic attack.
It was...
I am peacefully hovering at 10m/30ft of water above local "wreck" on solo dive. ****** vis - about 3m/9ft at best.
Then, out of nowhere, local firefighter practicing (I am guessing) underwater search towed by a device as shown in the picture hits me from the back & spins me around, almost...
Did you bother to click on the video I posted? Like in diving, there is a big difference in what is on the paper and what is the real-life experience in what we've discussing here.
The final rendering will of course take longer. But thanks to proxy files and other tools, you can edit 4K on old...
I think we all think we’ve learned, but I am sure the OP read many stories like this and thought the same until - unexplicably - he squeezed into wreck without a line.
Thank you for the write up. Glad you are both alive.
What is scary for me is that I haven’t done anything this stupid YET, which means that most likely I’ll get to do it in the future.
I just hope that when I forget my brain on the deck, I will survive it and get to write on SB about what an...
