Personally I would wait until the end of the year to see what's released unless you have some big trips coming up?
I'm following your research very closely as it's exactly what I've been looking into for the last year. Only thing stopping me from getting the LX10 is it's getting a bit dated now.
Have you tried checking out the Insta360 One R? It's a new modular action cam and you can change it to a 1" sensor that will fit in the underwater housing.

I don't see a way to use RAW for underwater filming if you need a SSD. 1TB SSD would be filled up by 100 seconds of RAW footage @ 25fps. Do any underwater housings for hybrid cameras come with space for ssds?
Talked to him yesterday, it was a Predator and it happened right around 800'.
He's got 2 Petrels now so we'll see if they are going to hold up to the depths he's trying to achieve in the next year.
A good friend of mine flooded/crushed his Shearwater due to extreme depth so I would say that's not 100% true :wink:
Albiet that was around 700-800ft if I remember correctly, so a more extreme example.
Will have to keep this in mind next time I'm there so I can squeeze another couple dives in. Think return flights for me are all after midday so thats perfect.
Cmon, you gotta have 1 dive that you could call your favourite dive you've ever had at Cozumel on. What dive site was it at?
