I would definitely encourage you to experiment with higher ISOs on that camera. I haven’t shot it so don’t have experience directly, but shoot micro43rds underwater and have shot up to iso 1600 and still been happy with the results for sharing online or smaller prints. you also may be able to...

What camera are you using? Most modern cameras can handle much higher ISOs than 250 without too much noise. It definitely helps when shooting ambient light at depth to be able to shoot much higher
