They don't stamp your passport, only the tourist visa. Canadian dollars aren't worth much, everyone I know goes down with US$.
I liked it both time I went down(I'm Canadian). But then again, if there's warm weather, a beach, good rum and clear water, I'm bound to like it/:D
Are you able to get down a couple of feet? Usually the new 7mm float more at the beginning. If you can manage to go down about 10 feet, everything compresses and you'll be fine. You really don't want to use the ankle weights if you don't have to, they become cumbersome to carry around. I...
you dive around here before?
Brockville was at 65 last weekend. Seeing as how it was warm this week, it may be warmer this weekend. Unfortunately for me, my wetsuit's in for repairs.
definitely take off the wetsuit. An easy trick to putting it back on : put a tiny bit of conditioner (take the cheapest stuff from the pharmacy) on your legs/arms, and it slides back on. Oh, and it also softens the legs.lol
ouch, I understand both languages, and I think that was the worst translation ever!!!
Anyways, Stephanephillippe, I've been to tryp and el senador (food was better at el senador, beach is better at tryp). let me know how everything goes!
I did the lock 28 drift and went right by the connie. I didn't realize I could actually go in it. Oh, well, gotta go back this weekend. the water's still warm (71) for those interested...
The best diving in Cuba is at Isla de la Juventad, but I hear Cayo Guillermo is also popular (I think it's accessible if you're at Cayo Coco, Holguin and Cayo Guillermo). I know from Trip Cayo Coco, they have a pick up service. Check out http://www.debbiescaribbeanresortreviews.com/scuba.html...
I just got one (I kept forgetting my rentals at the shop).
It breathes really well (and dry) in all positions, against current, and in depth... Just remember to put the venturi switch at - when you're not diving. Not worth it if you only dive shallow though. My buddies told me it breathes...
mine was during an AOW. I was the first one down, so it wasn't bad... until the rest of the class came down. it was a mix of fins, silt and a flooded camera (they were supposed to post the pics or something). I don't think too many buddies surfaced together. interesting experience.
