$125 shipped. Very good condition US Divers Conshelf XIV reg set. I used the first stage and short hose on a pony bottle for a few dives, but didn't even get the octo wet since the last service. It will need a fresh service just due to sitting in the closet for a few years.
90 mm Kubi dryglove system for sale. This is the version that mounts to the pre-existing seals in your drysuit. This has been a fantastic system for me. I never had a leak, and never had a problem with these. Only selling because I am getting a new suit. Not including gloves with these but...
My old DUI rockboots have finally bit the dust. Since it is critical that I look tacticool at all times (especially underwater) I thought I would give the Altama Maritime Assault boots a go. The question is on the sizing.... I wear a size 10 street shoe and the same in the DUI rockboots...
I have a 15.5' RIB (Bombard C5) with a 50 hp outboard that I dive off solo. Most of the places I use it have a mooring buoy so I don't have to worry about anchoring it. I am still fairly paranoid and attach multiple lines to the buoy just in case. I check out the buoy line on the way down...
Looking for an Apeks DST DIN first stage and an XTX second stage. XTX 40, 50, 200 doesn't matter too much, I just want capability to change hose configuration on the second stage.
Typically Hoodsport area for shore dives. I bought a zodiac last year so I have been exploring other sites when the weather is better. I usually launch it from Triton Cove.
Hey,
I'm in the Portland area and try to get out diving once a month or so. I usually dive up in Hood Canal. Typically I'll do a tech dive then a rec dive each outing, but I'm pretty open. Hit me up if you want to buddy up some time.
A nasal decongestant such as pseudoephedrine could potentially help. There can be a concern for the ears to be blocked again as the medication wears off but if these simulated dives aren't too long it shouldn't be a problem. Take it about 45 min to an hour before getting in the chamber. Best...
I have a Hollis M1 that I really like. Paid $100 for it. Just purchased the DGX "Ultra View Single Lens Frameless Mask" for $29! Easily as good if not better than the Hollis.
I always just use the lid to my big rubbermaid gear tote to stand on while gearing up. Works great to protect my drysuit booties while getting my rockboots on. I always have it on my tote anyway so no need to bring an extra mat. One less extra thing I have to remember to take.
Definitely true for me. I did a dive on the coast once and quickly realized for a slightly longer drive there was much better diving to be had up north.
I have to say I have had similar experiences and had the exact same questions about the local shops in my area.
I'm in the northwest and about 2 1/2 hours from some great diving, but many of the shops mostly cater to vacation divers. I would like to support them more but it is difficult...
I use a Bare XCS2. Crushed neoprene. Can't say that I have to do a lot of scrambling over rocks but it has been very durable over the several years I have used it. I also dive alone a fair amount and really recommend the diagonal front zipper. Easy to don and doff solo.
Thanks everyone! Is it easy to take off and clip it to a D ring with a soft goodman? Not sure how easy the Velcro wrist straps would be easy to undo with the drygloves. I will probably need to be able to take it off easy to reach behind me for my pouch and stages.
