House of Scuba in San Diego has alot of inventory on site. Ocean Enterprises, also in San Diego, is another big dive shop.

I started out with an Aluminum 80. Eventually I switched to steel tanks to lower my total gear weight for shore diving. I now have an HP80 and various LP tanks, all hot dip galvanized. I'll pick up a couple of aluminum 80s to keep on the boat.

I found my copy of "The Cruising Guide to Central and Southern California." It's a good boating guide book, but I don't see any dive site descriptions in it. Any recommendations for a good Channel Islands dive guidebook?

On closer inspection they don't seems to be exactly the same tanks as the current 55 cf on the Norris website. Mine are 1 - 2 inches shorter. I weighed my set - 53.5 pounds with manifold, bands, and boots. Maybe 25 pounds per tank with regular k valves.

Norris still makes a 2015 psi, 55 cf, 3AA cylinder. Dimensions seem about the same as what I have. Maybe it's the same cylinder still in production? 55CF

I believe the pictured tanks are Norris 55s. Norris stamp on them, 3AA, 2015 psi. Does anyone have specifications for these tanks - buoyancy, etc.?
