    Problems with Oceanic VTX Computer

Going to have to agree. I got one for my son, and even though I love the interface, it doesn't matter if you cant see it. Not only did he go through two batteries in a week, we had to string an SPG to the other HP port because of the battery drain and because he found it simpler for those checks.

Understanding the Mantis 2's Deco screen

And, not to be picky, the pic ScubaPro provided was from "Missed Decompression Stop", and, if I've got them figured out, the diver is in violation. When the Deco stop is at 6m for 2minutes, and the diver is currently at 5.3m, that not within the +/- .5m range. It's .2m too shallow. And, just...

Understanding the Mantis 2's Deco screen

From ScubaPro support. Very interesting... I guess we all had it a little wrong..

Understanding the Mantis 2's Deco screen

And that's why I'm thinking, going back to the Mantis-2's screen, the left number is the level the computer wants you to come up to/stop at/stay within .5 meters of (while watching for ascent speed warnings on the way up!!!), the middle number is the time you'll need to spend at that depth once...

Understanding the Mantis 2's Deco screen

LOL, that's awesome. And I'm sure any ScubaPro staff who are watching this thread are half laughing. Honestly, I might just take two computers (I also dive a Suunto Vyper), go into Deco and see if I can use what the Suunto is telling me to make some semblance of sense for what's showing up on...

Understanding the Mantis 2's Deco screen

Thank you too. Now that I look at it as you've pointed out, you may very well be right. But like I just said to DiveClimbRide, it sure would be nice to not be guessing. And in PADI, as it relates to computers, we always stress to "read the manual", this is a case where the manufacturer...

Understanding the Mantis 2's Deco screen

Thanks. Yeah, we're all confused. Especially since ScubaPro seems to pretty-much skip over any detailed explanation of/for that screen. I hope they're watching this thread and realizing that there are people who sure would like a page, or two, dedicated to it. Heck, they spend more time...

Which Atomic 1st Stage Do I Have?

Sorry, once I cleaned it and it came back just fine (I'll deal with any upgrades and rebuilds later), perhaps a grain of sand had lodged in the works (???), I'm going to stick with it for a while. It's a super-smooth regulator, much like my Apeks regs, and it's DIN to boot. It's a keeper..

Which Atomic 1st Stage Do I Have?

Well Atomic has never been known to be inexpensive. :callme:

Which Atomic 1st Stage Do I Have?

Any idea where I can order the kit? Hopefully they aren't like Mares where, honestly, it's easier to pick them up while in Honduras that find some place in the US to buy them from... :(

Which Atomic 1st Stage Do I Have?

While I think I have my answer, Boltsnap makes a great, I failed to add pics...

Understanding the Mantis 2's Deco screen

Because the M2's user manual is short of what the three parts of the lower line of the mandatory Deco screen mean/indicate, I thought I'd ask here. Yeah, I read the manual, it just didn't exactly tell me what I'll be seeing. Soooo... In the screen shot below, what is "5:" telling the diver...

Which Atomic 1st Stage Do I Have?

I know that may seem like a silly question but I really can't tell. I inherited this 1st stage from the shop, it works great, I want to rebuild it, but I really don't see anything that tells me which exact model it is to order the service kit. Does anybody know of a way to cross-reference the...

Service kit for Mares Abyss MR22 DFC 1st stages

I've looked through this part of the forum and can't anywhere where this question has been answered, so if it has I apologize. I have four Mares Abyss mr22 DFC DIN 1st stage regs (one of which also has "Tri Material Valve" on the label) that I need to service and I'm looking for which...

    Conquest II (BC0201L) Weight Pocket

Sorry if this is a duplicate, but my search for Conquest II weight pocket came up empty. I just picked up a Conquest II and want to add a weight pocket to my save-a-dive kit, does anybody know that the part number would be, and do I have to get it through Tusa? I see plenty of Tusa eight...

Battery change for Mantis 2 - my experience

Yes. A local ScubaPro dealer ordered some for me. Remember, take the case back off, not the battery cover.

Neptune Space help..quick before I toss 'em!

Bumping this one back up with a question because my son and I got these for Xmas and in our pool dives we've experienced the chatter. Did setting the cracking pressure to 140 work? Also, since I can set my cracking pressure to 140 (if it's going to work), how will that affect things when I put...

Battery change for Mantis 2 - my experience

Quick update, using the old O-ring everything went well, it held just fine to 128 feet. Heck, I'm lucky it didn't freeze, it was cold, thank God for dry suits!!! So perhaps replacing the pretty-much-impossible-to-get O-ring isn't that big of a deal as long as you don't damage it in the...

    Jules--Please help

Man have I found THAT to be the case. Trying to get that case back O-ring for my M2 has proven to be impossible. SP won't sell 'parts" to an end user, Authorized Dealers don't/won't carry some parts, and SP won't tell them to either get them for the end customer when requested or they'll ship...
