Thanks...I'm not totally opposed to shore diving in general, we shore dive off Laguna and other spots here in SoCal. But for Hawaii, I think my girlfriend prefers the ease of boat diving given that we're going to be on vacation, even if the boat isn't "necessary"...maybe I can convince her...

We stayed at Casa Mexicana last month. The 7-11 was fully lit, fully stocked, and usually there would be an employee or two inside, but the doors were locked. Very odd.

In Tulum proper is Underworld. Just did the cenotes with them last week and they were great. Very professional and safety oriented. I didn't do any ocean diving with them though.

Echoing what others have said about the conditions at the Dive Park this past weekend. Was there on Sunday and you couldn't really ask for better conditions. Got lucky and saw a harbor seal swim by (albeit quickly, like he/she was on a mission). Didn't come across any GSB though.

What was your max depth at these sites? Bottom temp of 70 sounds nice and warm. Probably not so great for the kelp though. Great pics too by the way.

Just got a Zeagle Stiletto - really like the BC, but the shoulder section is a bit too long. Probably a long shot, but wondering if anyone has a Medium shoulder section for the Stiletto that they'd like to trade for a Large. I've only used mine for 4 dives so far.
