    Landsailing?

So I'm headed to Bonaire for the first time. The diving (tons of it) is already booked. However, my wife wanted to book some non-diving surface activities. She booked us with "Bonaire Landsailing Adventures". I'd never heard of land sailing before, but it looks like wind sailing but you're on...

    Howdy from Downunder

Welcome! I always tell people how I think diving is actually easier than snorkeling, haha.

Lowest Profile 3mm Dive Booties - What do you recommend?

I have a pair of those Aqualung 3mm boots and think they’re great! Don’t have experience with other brands to compare, though. :)

    Dive Bahrain

I recently read about "Dive Bahrain", a new underwater 'theme park'. They apparently sunk a Boeing 747 three days ago. I'll be in Bahrain in December, and I'd LOVE to check it out! There seem to be many diver operators there, and I was wondering if anyone can recommend a specific dive shop?

    Dema Report 06

Hey, great report. I gotta go some year. I hear its only open to dive professionals. Is it hard for recreational divers to get tickets?

Rig Diving Operators in Galveson area?

Thanks, ReefHound, I just called them and they seemed very nice. It seems they go every other weekend to the Rigs. They don't know what their May schedule will be yet. In case they're not going out during my weekend there, do you perhaps know of any other reputable dive ops in the area...

Rig Diving Operators in Galveson area?

Hey y'all. I live in Virginia but I'll be in the Galveston area in May and would like to do a few day trips to some Oil Rigs. Can someone recommend a dive operator? Dramamine works for me but I still prefer larger boats if possible. Thanks in advance, Shaun

    Honeymoon location help

If you can go for 2 weeks, I definitely recommend Hawaii. The Four Seasons on Maui is exceptional. If not, Bonaire is a great choice b/c it is below the hurricaine area. Not much else to do on Bonaire is more of an advantage for newlyweds ;)

Any experience with Zeagle rip cords?

I agree that it does sound complicated but once you learn to re-thread the thing, it really isn't hard. I was also hesitant to buy a Zeagle BC. What I did was pull it out while in the shop. I sat with it for 5-10 minutes and figured it out BEFORE I bought it. In my opinion, a shop owner...

do sea sickness bands really work?

For those of you out there like me who are sensitive to the side effects of traditional motion sickness medications, I might suggest trying Zofran (odansetron). It is used heavily (IV) in the treatment of chemotherapy-induced nausea but I use it occasionally for my hospitalized patients with...

    Good Scuba Diving in Sept/Oct

I agree w/ Bonaire. If you are going with any non-divers, Aruba might be a good choice. The diving isn't as good as Bonaire but there are lots of cool topside attractons and stuff. There are a few really cool wrecks there as well. Overall I think Aruba is probably under-appreciated because of...

    recommendation for Maui SCUBA

I had a wonderful experience w/ Lahaina Divers also, although I have heard only GREAT things about B&B and Mike Severns as well. We dove w/ Lahaina b/c we were staying in Kapalua (north), but if you are in Wailea I agree that may not be the best choice. By the way, if you & your group like to...

Long-Lost World War II Sub Found, Navy Believes

I agree with the sentiment that there seems to be somewhat of a double standard with regards to 'respecting' a sunken submarine. I think the German sailors, despite the evil regime they fought for, also deserve respect. In my opinion, simply diving a sub that was sunk in battle is not...

    VA Beach Dive Operators

Hey, Can anyone recommend a good dive operator in Virginia Beach that has charters during the week? I've been with Dive Quarters once a few years ago and enjoyed diving with them, but looking at their website it seems they do mostly weekend trips only. Thanks in advance :D

Where's the best deal on Atomic Reg's??

I got mine at Leisure Pro in New York. I can't remember the exact price but it was a pretty good deal. Leisurepro.com is worth checking out.
