    Neanderthals may have practiced freediving

I actually did a online free diving class with immersion free diving. It is like $40 bucks and I learned a ton. Everything said is completely correct, and I would like to add that the mammalian reflex (dive reflex) can be conditioned and this is how you get longer breath holds. It is like...

Teaching the kids how to free dive at the Christ of the Abyss

Current was ripping so breath holds were on short supply. I am sure it helped strengthen our mammalian reflex though. We tried to free dive the Spiegel that day, but current was just too bad. We even dived in with tanks, but my daughter didn’t have gloves and we couldn’t get off the mooring...

Not sure if this is a reverse block

Yes I understand. He had issues with a forehead squeeze really bad, I mean real bad. He had to stop diving pretty much. It was so bad he was getting blood out of his nose. My family has a history of sinus issues. Then I went on a dive with Josh the Shark Guy. I have a lot of respect for...

Not sure if this is a reverse block

It worked wonders for my son, and my buddy Josh. Just a suggestion, but I literally tried everything else with my son. And this works. Everything your suggesting, we tried.

Not sure if this is a reverse block

Get this mask and see if it works for you. It will equalize the pressure on the way up which is supposed to happen naturally. If that isn't happening, it will with this mask on. ProEar Mask You should try it too I know someone that went through all that stuff and will only dive with this...

    Caribbean resort ideas

Turks and Caicos has my vote. It only rains like 40 days per year and the vis is always great.

Freediving the Bight Reef and 3 Mary Cays with the kids TCI

Yes I understand, thats why you will notice myself and my son do not even use a snorkel. It is a choking hazard. Thanks for the tip and great info!

Paralenz is about to launch a new Camera, WOW

Sweet that's what I use. I have beat mine up pretty badly actually, the button is cracked and switching settings requires extreme force. Hopefully this one will be less expensive, but either way I do love my camera and would probably buy a new one.

Another new Canadian, Edmonton, AB this time.

Cool man, you will love diving in Cozumel. Make sure you get a camera in order for all the sea turtles you will be swimming with.

Putting a Pregnant 14 Foot Tiger Shark in Tonic Immobility

The towboat is a great starting point because you can hide behind the rail and hold onto it. Then the feeder will bring the shark along the rail. So this is a great way to get adjusted to being in her presence :) Which is pretty breathtaking.

Putting a Pregnant 14 Foot Tiger Shark in Tonic Immobility

Yup this is in Jupiter, one of my favorite dive spots. She usually shows up to the towboat, in about 70-80 foot of water and once everyone and she gets comfortable we very slowly rise in the column and she will follow us. It is nice because we end up hanging out in 30-20 foot of water and...

Putting a Pregnant 14 Foot Tiger Shark in Tonic Immobility

I love Djenny. She is my favorite shark by far. Tigers are my favorite sharks, they are extremely polite. I think I got one more Bull Shark video I haven't shared and I am all caught up. That means I have to get out there and go get some more footage soon, I heard she has been showing up off...

Thoughts after my first time with Aldora

Well if you have a DSMB you can deploy at depth, and you don't mind waiting in the water that is one thing. As per everyone having one, that was not my experience. Everyone had a safety sausage, but not something they could deploy at depth.

    Shark Diving - Lemon Sharks

I have never been bit, it is mostly the feeders that eventually find out :) Never heard of an aggressive story, but accidents do happen especially when there is miscommunication between the feeder and the shark. On this dive I am right next to the box and feeder the whole time, trying to get...

Thoughts after my first time with Aldora

Well my point is that most people in Coz do not have an SMB, if everyone has an SMB that is different.

Thoughts after my first time with Aldora

How does the boat see the buoy though? They could be anywhere, the Captain doesn't know where they will come up, because they are coming up early. They are used to 55 minute dives, so if you come up at 42 minutes, you're most likely going to come up next to a boat that isn't even yours. So...

    Shark Diving - Lemon Sharks

Oh and I meant to say something about how social they were. They actually grow up in the backwater until they are about 10 years old. Hanging out with their siblings their entire life. Thats why when you see 1 Lemon you see a dozen. Very social.

    Shark Diving - Lemon Sharks

I highly recommend going to see Snooty the Lemon on your first shark dive. She has that perm smile because she has a genetic defect. The way I understood it, it would be like a human having autism. We know that autistic children are much happier than other children and are much friendlier...

    Weird Narcosis Experience?

I was actually thinking about that last night for a while, and my friends situation could have been a middle ear squeeze rather than cold water vertigo. I am reading It doesn't take much to get vertigo if the pressures in your middle ear are not equal. This would make sense on why he couldn't...
