Are they advising against all water activity in the affected area? (ie swimming, snorkeling in the shallows before getting to the reef, training, etc?)

In Bonaire, would that mean in one of the marked off spots between the shore and the reef? (Imagining the marked off training area in front of Dive Friends Yellow Sub, for example)

I'm thinking I do a Discover Freediving or 1 day personalized course instead of doing a full cert course - that way I have something different to try and can see how I like it to better plan for next time or start freediving in CA when I get home.

I'm an avid diver and snorkeler interested in taking a freediving course or working with an instructor to learn beginner freediving and breath techniques, mainly to improve how long I can "duck dive" when snorkeling, get that zen feeling of skimming above the coral without scuba gear for longer...

This is my first drysuit - I'm used to diving in an 8/7 Aqualung Solafx Semidry.

Update! I did my first two dives in my nova on Sunday at the breakwater in Monterey, CA. It was a successful day! The Good: No leaks! Seals worked great for me without needing any trimming (Sitech oval system) the 250 thinsulate undergarment kept me comfortably warm. Water temp 53-58 degrees F...

Second test didn't show any noticeable leaks from the knees or pocket, so I'm going to keep an eye on it but right now I think it may be condensation from how I hung the suit up to dry.

Zipper was open and the suit was resting on a drying rack with the legs and feet down. Couldn't feel any moisture anywhere but these 3 locations. I did notice that the pocket was still a little moist on the inside (its flap was closed overnight) so I'm wondering if the extra drying time needed...

It was damp on touch, as in I could streak the moisture around. It was only on the bottoms of the knees and the pocket though, nowhere else in the suit.

So, I did my first pool test last night and things went ok. Big learning is that I'm going to need a lot of practice donning, doffing, and getting my trim in line, it was definitely clunky, but this is my first drysuit so I assume that comes with practice. But there was one concerning thing...

For my manta patch, I made a decent sized jpg, kept it white on black with thick lines. Came out exactly as I hoped - so keep it simple, verify they can do it, and provide a good source file.
