Thanks to all for the input. We have decided to go with Bonaire for this trip! Mainly due to flight costs and times. Roatan flights were crazy expensive and I couldn’t figure out how to get to Curaçao without staying overnight in Miami. Those were my runner up choices.
Hello all! My 14 yr old daughter has finally decided she is ready to get certified. Hubby and I are considering Bonaire this summer for our first family dive trip due to the abundance of shallow shore dives and usually calm conditions. She will be doing her cert and check out dives here in the...
Sorry for the delay in posting the rest of my report! Hopefully I'll have the underwater pictures posted by early next week. They will be in my Facebook 2016 album, but I'll let you know for sure when they are there. Link in a previous post, so just scroll up for it.
Day 6, 5-4-16 May The...

We walked up to the square and of course I had to climb on the turtle and manatee for my obligatory goofy pics. They are in my Belize Facebook album. Had a quick turn on the swings and stopped by to dance with some teens playing guitar and singing. I may have turned the big 4-0...
Day three 5-1-16 continued
After much debate we decided on Caliente for supper. Andy wanted jerk at Robins but we weren't sure if they would be open since a lot of places are closed on Sunday's. We had the conch fritters and stuffed jalapeños for starters and I got the chicken nachos and Andy...

Day two 4-30-16 continued
Shower, nap and big uh-oh…. The underwater housing leaked on our 2nd dive and the camera isn't working correctly. We walked back down to Island City to see if they had a small screwdriver to take apart the camera but no luck. Headed back to the condo and the wifi to see...
Day one. 4-29-16
Monroe, La to Houston to Belize City to San Pedro. Easy flights, no issues. . Made it to San Pedro and Yvette met us at the airport. Loaded up the luggage and a short golf cart ride later we were at Belizean Reef. Third floor condo is nice and clean. Not luxurious, but well...
Hubby and I are trying to plan a Belize trip for late April or early May. Thank you Southwest for adding Belize to your stops! I've been researching Ambergris Caye but all the talk of filthy beaches covered in garbage has turned me off a bit. I went about 3 years ago with my daughter for a day...
We've got 6pm reservations at Buccano's so will go get our bellies full of some great food then head to Kelly's for cervesa and hopefully a good ole Tide butt whooping!
Thanks for the suggestions!
Like everything else on the Coz forum, I'm sure this has been discussed and debated to death, but I didn't see anything recent and restaurants/bars come and go, so thought it was worth asking. Where is the best place to watch football (not soccer)? I would have guessed French Quarter for LSU...
