We got several pretty good-sized ones on the Eastside when I was down in November. However, I barely saw any on the Westside. Cerveceria Punta Sur was selling lionfish pizza so someone is still finding them somewhere.

I have an Apeks XTX 50 first and second stage and need to add an octo to this rig. Does anyone know if it's safe to add an Apeks XL4 octo to this setup? Is the first stage of the XTX 50 configured to only work with XTX octopuses?

I just finished a week and a half of diving there and didn't see any nurse sharks this time. I also noticed very few turtles on these dives which was a little concerning.

I see people posting about going to other locations to dive during this Cozumel reef closure. However, I think it may just be a matter of time before all these reefs are compromised by humans.

According to this video posted a few links back the SCTLD disease is a waterborne pathogen. The terrifying thing about this is that the cruise ships once again may be helping spread this disease by means of the discharge ballast water. It’s interesting to see that the outbreaks of this disease...

The sad thing is it probably won't because it's just a drop in the bucket compared to the money they make from the cattle boats.

It's not a question that these ships are dumping sewage in the waters around the Yucatan. Like I said earlier Carnival alone was busted 800 times just from April 2016- April 2017. They are under probation but still continue to dump waste in the ocean. This is the path that some of these ships...

And that is precisely why these reefs WILL die. Too many people have this same mindset that climate change is a fraud.
