    Restaurants that serve Lionfish

We got several pretty good-sized ones on the Eastside when I was down in November. However, I barely saw any on the Westside. Cerveceria Punta Sur was selling lionfish pizza so someone is still finding them somewhere.

    Mixing Apeks regulators?

I have an Apeks XTX 50 first and second stage and need to add an octo to this rig. Does anyone know if it's safe to add an Apeks XL4 octo to this setup? Is the first stage of the XTX 50 configured to only work with XTX octopuses?

    Seen any Nurse Sharks lately?

I just finished a week and a half of diving there and didn't see any nurse sharks this time. I also noticed very few turtles on these dives which was a little concerning.

Looking for a reputable Snorkel/Dive operation.

Thanks to everyone that posted. This has given me a couple of shops to contact and has also given me things to think about.

Looking for a reputable Snorkel/Dive operation.

Thanks GGunn. My hope was to do a two tank dive and that the boat would take the snorkelers to a shallow location during those dives.

Looking for a reputable Snorkel/Dive operation.

Usually, when I go down to Cozumel I dive with Aldora. This April I am heading down to dive again but my girlfriend is coming with me. She doesn't dive and I don't want to leave her all by herself in our rental house deep inside Cozumel. So until I get her certified I thought she could snorkel...

Advice on Dive Operators in Cozumel?

We dive with Aldora and usually have a good experience. However, if you are an experienced diver I would recommend asking for Nitrox to improve your chances of getting on a boat with simallar level divers. Rich, Steve, Miguel, Sharif are awesome DM's. Gato is probably my favorite...

"Observations show an average 260 touches per one hour dive for a party of four."

I know some of the DM’s love doing the swim throughs. I love them also. However, I have been with several groups were we had inexperienced divers that had no buoyancy control whatsoever and the DM would lead the group through several swim throughs. On several occasions I have had to help some of...

    Possible southern reef closure

I see people posting about going to other locations to dive during this Cozumel reef closure. However, I think it may just be a matter of time before all these reefs are compromised by humans.

    Possible southern reef closure

According to this video posted a few links back the SCTLD disease is a waterborne pathogen. The terrifying thing about this is that the cruise ships once again may be helping spread this disease by means of the discharge ballast water. It’s interesting to see that the outbreaks of this disease...

    Possible southern reef closure

The sad thing is it probably won't because it's just a drop in the bucket compared to the money they make from the cattle boats.

    Possible southern reef closure

It's not a question that these ships are dumping sewage in the waters around the Yucatan. Like I said earlier Carnival alone was busted 800 times just from April 2016- April 2017. They are under probation but still continue to dump waste in the ocean. This is the path that some of these ships...

    Possible southern reef closure

And that is precisely why these reefs WILL die. Too many people have this same mindset that climate change is a fraud.
