My lights were sent back to L&M about a year ago. I still haven't got them back. The local supplier ended up sending me his lights to use on a trip. I haven't returned them and he is not getting until I get mine back. Only problem is his lights have the same fault as mine. So now I am looking...
With the lights switched on, try moving the cable near the battery end. If the lights flicker or just switch on and off the E/O or wet connect cable is faulty. I have had this problem with my Sola 1000 lights. If this is the problem you might not like the fix
Use a 10% solution of white vinegar to remove the green stuff. (corrosion) off the zip. Soak it for 5-10 min then just scrub it help remove it. Then rinse well. the vinegar is an acid and needs to be cleaned off. Then maintain it with the bees wax. Silicone can damage latex so best kept away...
I use a pair of neoprene shorts with pockets attached. These will give you all the storage you need with the MC system without affecting your streamlining. The other benefit is that if you change suits you can can have the pockets on any other suit your wear. I don't know if Halcyon in the USA...
Have a look at Airspeed Press Homepage - Books For Serious Divers they publish some very good books on reg servicing and oxygen/nitrox issues. Also look at www.scubatools.com for some very good reg servicing tools. They actually supply tools to some of the reg companies like scubapro.
All very interesting reading. I am in Australia and have just bought the DX-1g and the ys110. I am sorry I didn't come across this thread earlier. Anyway, could you let me know who the manufacturer and what the part is actually called for the adapter you mentioned earlier. I hope to be able to...
Simple and best answer - go DIN first and use a Yoke converter. No tools needed once done to change.
DIN conversion is usually done by a regulator service tech, although if you are capable it isn't all that hard to do. They are not actually designed to be taken off and put back on regularly...
I have printed tables using clear film (Overhead projector type) with a laser printer and used one of the white sheets from the wetnotes as a backing so I can read them. Very water proof and will last several months before the printed matter starts to wipe off the plastic.
I have had a Nemo since they were first released in Australia and I must say I really like using it, except for the downloader.
I submitted a post once saying that I managed to get the IRIS and Nemo to work. But that was after ALOT of trying computer configuration, different PC's laptops etc...
It seems that it is standard practice to route both 2nd stage regs from the (recreational) divers right side.
My question is why does the alternate reg (occy) need to also come from this side?
I find that if it is routed from the left side, when you donate it to your out of air buddy it...
Does any one know of a converter I can attach to the back of my Ikelite housing and then plug a Nikonos synch cable to. I don't want to replace the whole cable as I would like to connect a Sea and Sea YS60 to the housing and use a Nikonos SB105 as a slave.
Also if the connector does exist does...

Hey Zed .... Any luck? I can't get the damn thing to work either ...uugghhh!
Just thought I would let you guys know that I have managed to get my IRIS and Titanium NEMO to work together, finally!!! I have tried to get the two to work for a couple of weeks but no luck until...
I have been using the Nemo Titanium since May and logged over 80 dives on it. The computer works great. The downloader is a real pain in the neck. However. With some phone calls to Mares and fidling I have found that if you place the Nemo with the 6 o'clock section of the face (this is where the...
I have been using a Smart tec since January this year. Firstly, I have have done 120 dives with it. The first twenty something went wrong with the computer so Scubapro/Uwatec replaced it. Since then I haven't had any problems. The infrared download feature is great, no cable and no expensive...
I have done over a hundred dives with the NEMO Titanium and have used the MARES supplied screen protector from day one. A friend has the one for the Atom but we found that the ATOM goes yellow and hard while the MARES one still seems pretty good. Now I live in Australia where we seem to get...
