    Cheaters

Yep, I was expecting the off gassing. I might get to dive again in September. The clouding thing is my main concern. I think the mask is some type of tempered glass. The cheaters feel like some type of acrylic.

    Cheaters

I need readers, distance is fine. I have the small inserts that glue in and the worked great for seeing the gauges. But, the glue to put them in is removable with warm water. Diving in the Caribbean, guess what, it's warm water and they fell out on the boat. Question is, since I'm going to have...

    Rust on Trilobite body

What ever happen to Durashine? The use to sand down a car door, paint and x on it with Durashine, stake it out in the ocean surf for a week and when they pulled it out, MAGIC, no rust on the x they painted. I nee that on my dive blades.

    Using octo upside down

I have been re-thinking the safe second/octo configuration. It seem This is exactly the scenario I was wanting to avoid or mitigate with the Aqualung ABS octo. Being with vacation divers (land locked, only getting to dive 2-3 times a year), like myself, I'll want a solution that solves their...

Compression/workout long sleeve shirt vs. rash guard

Perhaps a better question is this: Is there a difference?

Compression/workout long sleeve shirt vs. rash guard

Question: What is the difference in a compression/workout long sleeve shirt and a rash guard (other than price)? Both should offer UV protection, both hold very little water (dry quick).

    3mm wetsuit

I was considering the following suit. I am hot natured (love that a/c) and really think I will seldom need a wet suit in the caribbean. I might want one elsewhere. 2019 Orca Openwater Men’s Open Piece Triathlon Wetsuit

    Using octo upside down

I would like to thank everyone for you suggestions, thoughts and comments. I really did not intend to spark such a lively debate. Thanks to you we now have a pretty good idea what we will be purchasing. It is clear to me, a newby, that there are recreational divers ( such as my wife and I) and...

    Using octo upside down

Pardon my ignorance. But what does breathing easy or rough matter when the only time I or anyone will actually use the yellow octo (other that testing it) is when we are making a safe ascent to the surface, after they or I have had an issue? We area not planning on tec diving. If that is in the...

    Using octo upside down

That looks like a good choice. Thanks.

    Using octo upside down

The specific situation I was hoping to negate is someone, out of air, panicked, despirately grabs my octo, rips it loose and shoves it in their mouth for a life saving breath only to suck in a lung full of water because in their panic they didn't take the time to look. Seems to me a octo that...

    Using octo upside down

This excellent discussion has been moved from Regulators to the Beginner's|New Equipment forum where it might benefit a wider audience. I'm new to SCUBA and planning to purchase some gear for my wife and I. I apologise if is this has been covered in a previous post. It would seem to make very...
