    Scubapro Heart Rate Monitor

Hi @Joelage Two things to consider. First ensure Workload is set for Heart Rate in the settings. Second, replace the battery in the Heart Rate Monitor (even if the unit is new). The new Scubapro Heart Rate belts seem to drain the battery much faster than the older Polar T31 which is a...

    Mantis M2 Issues

M2 users, we would really like to hear about your experiences with the Heart Rate Monitor (HRM). Those using a G2 and the new HRM have been having real difficulties and the question is; is it the G2 or the HRM? I suspect its the HRM but it would be valuable to learn the experiences form those...

    Navigation Board - homemade

Looks great! So did you use a router or something to shape it and cut out the holes?

    Scubapro Heart Rate Monitor

Hi @Hatul I would recommend you ask Scubapro for a new belt under warranty since it wasn't working properly when it was in warranty! You would hope that the any new belts manufactured would have addressed this issue. BTW, do these belts have a serial number?

    Scubapro Heart Rate Monitor

Hi @VOGH On this particular dive, with the 200 BPM for two minutes, did the computer record an increase in workload? I've been testing my Sol with regards to workload and I noticed that the increase in heart rate has to be sustained for a period of time (ie over 10 min) before the computer will...

    Scubapro Heart Rate Monitor

@VOGH Wow, what a comprehensive review. Thanks for posting. I've used heart rate monitors for a number of years and I don't think I have put them through a battery of tests like you have. On occasion, HRM's do spike, but I have found, they do settle down as you continue your activity. But if my...

    Scubapro Heart Rate Monitor

@Hatul I couldn't agree with you more. The H10 and OH-1 (now called OH-1+) is one of the smartest moves Polar has made. For my land base activities, I'm Garmin centric and therefore rely on the Ant+ signal. These are the first Polar units that can broadcast Bluetooth as well as Ant+. In...

    Scubapro Heart Rate Monitor

@montage , Thanks for your feedback. You may want to try the apnea surface test just to see if the HRM even works properly at the surface. According to @VOGH it can't even do that! This begs the question; what happened to Scubapro's quality control? Surely they must have tested this piece of...

    Scubapro Heart Rate Monitor

Thanks for the update Hatul. That is a disappointment but not unexpected from the feedback we are getting in this thread. Yes, other divers can conduct a surface test themselves to confirm your observation. If you change the computer's setting to apnea mode, you can turn the G2 on and off at...

How good is the compass on Scubapro Aladin Sport Matrix or should I get a Luna?

Happy you were able to find a computer. I'm sure It will serve you well. I currently dive with a Galileo Sol which is the big brother to the Luna but the great thing is the Luna can be upgraded to Sol specs if you so desire. if you have any questions about the unit just ask. A lot of Galileo...

How good is the compass on Scubapro Aladin Sport Matrix or should I get a Luna?

Certainly buying a used computer is a viable option. As indicated, Lunas and Sol are being sold as divers upgrade their equipment since these computers first came out over 10 years ago. But that is just a testament to their build quality. One item that hasn't been mentioned regarding the...

    Scubapro Heart Rate Monitor

Thanks @VOGH, I had that same question back last December. Scubapro heart rate monitor Perhaps @giannis k . was referring to Lunas made after 2015? The unit is still being offered by Scubapro in their 2019 catalog with optional Scubapro heart rate/skin temp belt so maybe that is the case.

SCUBAPRO LUNA WITH SMARTTRAK, LOGTRAK PROBLEMS

@Barbara Morey hopefully @kelemvor instructions will get you sorted on your windows 10 PC. I personally have SmartTrak, Logtrak and Subsurface installed on my PC and they all interface perfectly with my IRDA dongle for my Galileo Sol. Of the three programs, SmartTrack is the best for the...

    Scubapro Heart Rate Monitor

@VOGH @josb, thanks for the continued feedback on this issue. @Hatul, I look forward to reading your results when you get back from your dive trip. I understand that the Sol can link to the new heart rate band but unfortunately I don't believe anyone here has that combination. It would...

What's your SurfGF and how does it compare to your (Rec) GFHi?

There seems to be two different implementations of surface GF based on manufacturer Shearwater = SurfGF = instantaneous Mares = GF @ Surf = ascend now at the allowed ascent rate disregarding any deco and safety stop Shearwater was first off the blocks but Mares refined it. In terms of the...

Ok, here is my attempt  to graphically represent Shearwater's colour logic for GF99 and SurfGF.

What's your SurfGF and how does it compare to your (Rec) GFHi?

Hi @stuartv , Thank you for you comprehensive feedback. It may be red all the time because in reality that is what it essentially is for deco dives. To make it yellow implies that the diver is above GFhi but below GF100 which may be considered misleading (although the SurfGF number itself will...
