I know you need one if you want to add a short HP hose between the transmitter and the first stage, but do you need one if you screw directly on the first stage?

First, apologies for reviving an old thread,.. but I need sizing check for the deep 6 eddy fins. I wear scuba pro 5mm delta boots size S. my regular converse shoes are size 8-9 (size 40 EUR). barefoot length is 25cm. what are my chances of fitting a large eddy? i've seen the small one in action...

I haven't dove Padang Bai and Amed, but here are my thoughts,
Tulamben. Liberty wreck is easily the best dive there. Even compares to Penida / Lembongan. The wreck is also visible for snorkelers.
Mola mola is a bit tricky. There are instructors / DMs who lived there for a couple of years...
Plenty of options for Indo.
Sabang, underrated dives, just be prepared for terrible food and accomodation :D
Derawan / Maratuan, Indonesian side of Borneo (Kalimantan).
Banda and/or Raja Ampat, though it'll still be pricey even for "budget" everything.
Livingseas. PADI shop but ran by GUE folks. I wished I had known this shop before starting. BP/W, and he will need to do the drills in trim, no kneeling.
