Is this the 3500 S+ that has the strobe/burst mode?

This seemed like the perfect light for my needs. Loved the flood/spot mode plus the optional remote. The new lights (4000 and 6000) don't seem to have the spot mode. This is a deal killer for me! RGB options plus fluorescence and the "strobe" mode all made this a lot of light for the price...

Ha Ha! Ok, I guess I asked for that one. I think I'm leaning towards that DiveRite mask pocket. The dive shorts pockets would be ok but most of my diving is in warmer water, sans neoprene.

Diving a BP/W with one pocket just big enough to hold my SMB and Reel. If not in a pocket, where do you all stow your spare mask? So far, I haven't been taking one on dives but I feel like I should. Just don't have a good place to keep it!

Right, but then you want to get rid of that water (or at least I do) so once you have taken care of the fog, you clear your mask by breathing air through your nose. This can then cause fogging of your mask again. It's a vicious cycle! For my single-lens mask, I actually bought this...

Same problem here, only add fogging to that! Some dives, no leaks and no fog. The very next dive, I may have leaks, fogging or both. It drives me crazy! Many times, the fogging goes with the leaking because the more you breath into your mask to clear it, the more chance you have of fogging it...

When I'm diving, I can't help but smile because, well... I'm diving!! Therefore, my mask leaks. If I could just keep a straight face, I would be fine most of the time!

This is exactly how I store mine. Works great and I have never had my fins go out of shape.

Not to go too far down this rabbit hole but how is this secure? I have wondered this before... you put your code in once in Garmin Connect when you're setting it up and then it can be used without a code? What happens if someone steals your watch?? Do they now have the ability to charge...

I can't believe that I work for the company and heard about the release here first! There were already 2 or 3 pages of posts before they sent out the announcement through email. And here I thought I had the inside scoop!! Oh well. At least I know where to go for news releases!

Already got mine. Looks like I can transfer my +15 macromate mini lens and extra filters from my Hero5 over to this one and save some money! The wife will be using the Hero5 on occasion and really only needs the one filter (she doesn't use the camera much at all!).

Certainly better than the way I did it: Put on mask. Jump in. If the mask fills up with water, you have a leak! :eek: :D

No, I ended up just tearing into it and it ended up being fairly straight forward. I wouldn't say "easy" but do-able. You just have to make sure everything snaps back into place when you put it back together. One of my lenses leaked badly when I first jumped in the water after changing them...
