I'm pretty tough with Cold water but do enjoy being warm. I ordered a full 3 mil, for $84.00 delivered, at that price I figured what the heck. When I did the Playa Cenotes I used a 3 mil shortly, I can tell you i was slightly blue lipped on the second dive of the day....wont make that...

I do like being warm, last dive in Lake Huron was 48F at 95-100 feet. Even my 7 mil didn’t cut it there. I plan on diving as much as possible everyday while in Coz, so thermal protection might be really needed.

Question, so I have a 3 mil shorty suit, and the my next option is a 7 mil full. You guys and gals think the 3 mil shorty will suffice, or should I start looking at 3 or 5 mil fulls? 7 mill is way overkill and I refuse to even bring it after being cold Michigan diving for the past 3 years!!

I'm pretty sure I'll be the same way. I've been missing something for years now. My wife and I love to travel, but have drastically different ideas of what vacations look like. My motto this year has been, ask for forgiveness rather than permission. This is within reason, but really need...

Definitely curious how my sleeping is going to play out; for the nights, figure I will read myself to sleep. I'm a pretty outgoing guy, so I'm sure I'll meet people. Shore night diving sounds amazing....I've only shore night diving I've done is in lake Michigan, which is always a great dive...

Well, I pulled the trigger, taking my first vacation alone during my 17 years of marriage! No wife or 3 daughters... going to be interesting. Staying at SCUBA Club Cozumel, I’ve always wanted to stay there. Wife and I have walked by numerous times while traveling to the island! She just...

I'm totally missed your replay I apologize. Thank you so much for all the insight!; I really appreciate it.. I'm going to keep an eye on the conditions and go from there. Might even sneak away on afternoon to check out Deans.... Might not make any friends with my family, but for diving its...

Snorkeling and Free Dive North Captiva

Thank you for your reply! Just looking for fish, stingrays, maybe dolphins. Would love to see some sharks as well, but "large" hammerheads might be a little much for the group I'm with. Depending on the weather I would go off shore, but would be limited to what the wives input is. Is Deans...

Snorkeling and Free Dive North Captiva

Good morning SCUBA Board. I'm an avid Michigan Diver and try to dive in the south at least once a year! Hope to hit Cozmel for a couple of days in May (without the wife and kids) The cold waters of Michigan become less desirable every year I age! Anyways, I'm heading to North Captiva with...
