My son and his family stayed at a Blue Bay AirBnB. Dive op on location, nice beach and diving also right there. They made a nice video you can see at the Facebook link below
Dive Charter Curacao runs 2-tank boat dives to either eastpoint or westpoint sites every day but Sundays and Wednesdays. You should check the calendar at www.divechartercuracao.com/calendar. We do guided dives off a 25ft RIB on the far ends of the island that are only boat diving sites.
My biggest concern is the damage caused to the reef by over enthusiastic lion fish hunters. We have some of the healthiest reefs in the Caribbean and would prefer you not take that shot if you are going to do damage. If you are taking them for food ok. If you just leave them on the reef not ok...
Currently have not seen much on either eastpoint or westpoint dive sites. Even when we’ve had noticeable patches in the past, it hasn’t really affected diving here. Most impact is usually on the north coast inlet.
There are several Curacao Visitor Forums on Facebook you should check out for providing you with recommendations on what to do here. Do search the feeds for general topics etc. Just ignore the snide comments 😆

I would beg to differ on east end diving. We (the orange zodiac boat guy you mentioned) only do drift diving out east and the reefs are amazing! Yes Watamula is the jewel of the west but east (past Fuik) has 6 miles of absolutely pristine reef. Yes boat diving only as it is all private property...
Quite a few dive operators there offer boat diving via a charter service. There are at least 2 operators very near where you will be that can hook you up. Or you can book directly with a dedicated boat dive operation…
