I think I will be in the DR this December. We are going to be in Cap Cana. which is not too far from Bayahibe. Anyone know anything about the diving in Cap Cana (far eastern shore of the DR, south of Punta Cana)?

Yes, I think the key learning for me is to actuate the buttons a few times during/after the soak. I also soak mine after dives, but will use warmer (not hot) water in the future too.

So UPDATE: I decided to soak it (again) and lo and behold, this time it unstuck the buttons and all is perfect. I did use warmer water this time. When it didn’t work before I was worried there was some sand or something inside the housing. Thanks! Saves me from shipping it off!

So my first teric had a battery drain issue that was fixed quickly by Richard at Dive-Tronix, but weird issue just came up on my second teric. The top left and bottom right input buttons appear ”pushed in” and unable to accept input. Also weirdly, just noticed that the watch will turn itself...

So I noticed a small puncture in my 2 year-old halcyon shell. Inside bladder is fine. Pictures attached (it doesn't look like much in the pic but about 1/4 inch long). Not sure how it happened. Could I try just putting on some aquaseal to see if it holds or do I need to patch it? Just don't...

Anyone know if Dive Provo goes to similar places like smaller organizations like Aqua TCI (trying to compare the two). Seems that Dive Provo marina is in the North of the island, while Aqua TCI is on the south side. Not sure if that matters though?

So I'll be down in Provo over Xmas with my son. I'm trying to decide between Dive Provo and Aqua TCI. Both seem to have reasonable reviews, though I am staying much closer to Dive Provo. Any reason to not just do Dive Provo? We are both AOW, just looking for some chill diving.

ok maybe a silly question, but what is the difference between the ”individual” and “family” memberships if you have to pay for coverage for individuals in the family, anyway? Or am I misunderstanding? for example if me and my son dive, but my wife doesn’t, do I get the family one?

Hey Paul, or anyone, I see I’m too late to the sale, but can you tell me your thoughts between the super big and super slim? I am torn between having height to be seen, but being too thick to comfortably fit into a pocket. I think I’m leaning towards the super slim but curious your thoughts...

Sounds like you may need something a little thicker if you want to go to the large.

Hmmm, not sure. That’s odd. My 6.5 mm boots (size 9 shoe) fit the large perfectly so maybe your 2 mm bootie is much thinner/different shape in the heel?

What do people think? Is the slim better all around because of size/thickness?

Sounds like most people soak regs in water, some add some mild detergent or very diluted bleach solutions
