Have you tried switching regs with her when the sensation starts, to see if you experience the same thing? I know you said she does not feel anxious, but seems like an easy safe test to do as you go down the anchor line, to 100% rule out it being in her head rather than in her reg.

John, this is the first I am hearing of the “Whale Sharks annual Governors Riverwalk wreck sites visit. When has this happened in past years?

Rockaway Beach, 8th St., was where I did my first beach dive in 1983, working on my PADI, cert. I guess it is still a good spot to dive and definitely shallow enough for beginner free diving. Hopefully its as fishy and clean there, as it was in 1983!

Always sad when another diver passes. I learned to dive on the NY/NJ wrecks and to this day believe some of the best divers I have known, come from the northeast. Condolences to Dan’s family. May he rest in peace.

Samy, I would think you are better off just making the cover, as you originally advertised. Personally, I wouldn’t trust a person on the internet to manufacture the straps attached to my mask, and I would think I am not alone in my thought process.
