Aren’t factual reports and documents exactly what we should be using to draw conclusions? What else is there? Do you mean we should just turn our brains off and let someone else tell us what to believe?
My month old Teric died, just stopped turning on. I emailed them Monday morning and by Wednesday afternoon I had a brand new one in my hands, no questions asked, before I even shipped back the faulty unit.
It can live on some surfaces in carefully controlled lab conditions for 5 days, but realistically it will be much less than that. Also keep in mind there’s a difference between what can be detected and what is actually enough to infect a human.
How often do people get sick from rented gear? There are plenty of viruses already around which are equal or more contagious than covid. I don’t rent gear but if you weren’t sanitizing gear before this, I don’t see any reason this should change your behavior.
I recently switched from 500psi to baby shampoo, I think 500psi is a little better for defogging but baby shampoo works almost as well and avoids the residue. IMO both are good solutions. Never had consistently good success with some of the other brands of purpose made defoggers.
