Download a "freediving app" and go through the exersizes daily. You'll go from 60 sec to 150 seconds "coach breath hold" within a few weeks - gives you confidence for the swim.
If you've got pool access laps in a pool while breathholding is also very efficient.
Just a pair of heated Santi's.

Never seen nobody with thinner gloves - but guess that's just Geographical differences:)
So, I finally received my suit yesterday, and got to test it today. Was an ~80 minute dive in ~4 degrees water, and mostly I'm super happy! I do have two concerns/disappointments though.
The zipper - am I the only one with what I'd call a way to short one? I struggle to get it past my ass🤔🤭. It...
They been to have the same height not to stress the manifold. At least my D18's were assembled using "random" bottles and have been just fine for a couple years
0.16 in PPO2, meaning 16% for OC. For ccr DIL with 16% O2 and Oxy injection off for some reason quickly drops to hypoxic levels, which I assume is the reason there's variations to the Normoxic + minimum O2 levels. (Ie MOD2+).
Given the reliability of Bluetooth pressure transmitters, imagine if we could have a Bluetooth overlay on them.
Hardwired to the hardwired system like above, and Bluetooth with diagnostics to backup computer. Computer side could be done in a simple firmware update
Such a shame with this "workaround" though. Have a digital sensor, but convert to ****** millivolts. Removes options for diagnostic info, checksums for communication etc.
Once again my work have put me in a location I'd like to dive - as usual I never knew before I came here, so no equipment nor arrangements have been made. Are there any diveshops offering night dives in the area around Kingston?
I'm flying home tomorrow night, thus only afternoon/night dives...
It seems like you have a total of almost 10 minutes on air inbetween gas mixes and after going off O2?
At least I've always practiced breathing O2/50% as long as possible, also at the surface waiting for a boat/walking ashore. May give you that little edge at virtually no "cost"
Hi!
I'm playing with the thought of putting together a mini sidemount kit. I already got a pair of 4L 200 bar bottles, got a reg set ready, but not sure about SM setup.
Goal of the rig is a single cave dive - roughly 10 minutes in 4 meter depth, so bottle size is selected based on that...
I've had both a D8.5, D12 and D18.
D8.5 works well if you do a single rec dive at a time. If you do two rec dives or anything with a ceiling, you'll like the D12's.
What I did like a lot with the 8,5's were how much easier it was getting used to shutdowns with them due to the reduced diameter...
No opinion on SPG vs AI (I only have SPG's), was just pointing out that checking out if the SPG is working should be trivial.
That said I never had an SPG fail in my 400 or so dives.
