I have the room after raising the garage door so for me my 2007 cuddy is good but needs 10' clearance on the trailer. My older 1987 Cuddy needed 13' on the trailer.
Way more information than I imagined, thank you everyone. Looks like I'll have it tested at the fire equipment place and VIPed at the LDS and look into inspecting myself later.
I did find out the LDS does their own hydro so they do not send out.
Depending on the information I get back from the fire equipment company as to what all they do or don't do I might go with both, have the fire equipment company hydro the tank and the dive shop VIP the tank.
If it was an old used tank I would definitely let the LDS check it.
I guess I should have added more of the information. My tank is a new AL80 I bought in 2008 but never used and never filled. Most of my diving has been overseas and I didn't want the extra weight going through airports. The valve is a K valve and is also unused and bought new at the same time...

Just a thought but I had one custom made in Taiwan about 18 years ago, haven't dived a lot with it but it still works great. I plan on using it there next month.
