Can anyone help me choose which used computer to buy??

I bought the Scubapro Mantis 2 for $200; for now, I just need a dive computer that works. I'm just starting a new job and short on money so made sense to get an older model. I doubt I'll be doing more than 4 dives a day for consecutive days for the near future or a live-aboard adventure- at...

Can anyone help me choose which used computer to buy??

*starts eating popcorn watching intently* I have a friend at the LDS who has a Scubapro Mantis 2 watch he will sell me his for $200. I have bought a lot of gear from him and he's extremely generous and helpful. I owe him a case of beer, or two. He uses the Teric (w/ transmitter) and used the...

Can anyone help me choose which used computer to buy??

Thanks, and I believe the Mantis uses a Buhlmann algorithm with a little biometric data mixed in for fun. I think its middle of the road in comparison.

Can anyone help me choose which used computer to buy??

Wow, that's a big difference. I'll definitely need to look into which algorithms are used on each and every single computer, that "25 min divergence" seems drastically overboard. I could understand 5 min... sheesh

Can anyone help me choose which used computer to buy??

Anti-Fogging Treatments for New Masks. (a comparison of techniques)

I think the mask fogging depends on so many variables. 1. weather conditions/water temp 2. properly prepped mask/cleaned/anti-fogged 3. how much exertion the diver is experiencing (sweat) 4. depth of dive 5. skill of diver Lighter: I tried the lighter method on my new Cressi mask, was great...

    Aloha

It is a small world! Also, there's no place in the world like Roatan. @txgoose thanks, I'll check out those guides and I'll take it to my LDS. @grantwiscour I joined the Honolulu Dive Club so hopefully, I will meet some local divers too! @Compressor so far I'm impressed!

Tourist dies while diving on Ambergris Caye

I was going to say, statistically, he probably had an MI leading to a fatal cardiac arrhythmia, and at age 68, cholesterol plaques are the leading cause of sudden cardiac death, but the article was edited with the autopsy- Dilated cardiomyopathy with chronic heart failure, which can also be...

    Aloha

Aloha, I just moved to Oahu August 2019 . I am super excited to be here, so fortunate. I started diving just before medical school and now that I am just finished with residency I want to get into ocean conservation and marine wildlife projects. We humans are so fortunate to be alive during this...
