    Beginner Diving in Curacao??

I'm a 3rd, or maybe 4th for Ocean Encounters at Lion's Dive. Great boat dives and an easy shore dive if you want to try that also.

    Puerto Rico

Glad you liked Paradise Scuba. Kiko runs a nice operation and they have been there for decades. Capt. Cachi is one of the most friendly people I have run into diving. I will be there is about 2 weeks for some diving.

    Suggestion Sarcasm font

I voted for it BUT...... How about everyone just man, or woman, the f up. We are talking diving here, not brain surgery. Why does a place that allows you to type your thoughts cause so many people to think their thoughts have value and that they can't be challenged or mocked? Sarcasm is the...

My Mother caught the Multiple Myeloma also. Stage 4 when discovered. Nasty stuff based on what I know.

Suit filed in case of "Girl dead, boy injured at Glacier National Park

I don't want to comment much since I have not read much and certainly haven't read all 134 pages of this thread....BUT....I did read that Motion from the link above. If you go to page 15 line 19 thru page 16 line 8: "Disputes like this one are especially frustrating to courts because courts...

For Sale Looking for women’s plus size wetsuit

Give JMJ Wetsuits a call. They can make whatever size you need since they do custom. I got a custom job from them and it is great. I felt reasonably priced and it allowed me to add ankle sippers, neck sipper, and 2 pockets.

Plus size full wetsuit (2 or 3mm) suggestions for very large woman?

Give JMJ Wetsuits a call. I got a custom from them in the Spring and it is fantastic. I am not anything close to an off the shelf guy. The price was reasonable and i was able to add pockets, leg zippers and a neck zipper.

    PADI Divemaster without Advanced?

Exactly. So many people do not hold this opinion though. If I only teach in a Northern Quarry I don't have to be a Fish expert or proficient in Drift diving. Hell, I don't even need Drysuit if I personally have zero intentions of doing any class related work when the water temps require a...

    PADI Divemaster without Advanced?

Why are people, that mostly live near cold water diving, so adamant about experience in all the different conditions, including wearing a Drysuit, gloves, hood, etc for every DM or Instructor?? Is it jealousy that they can't dive year-round in warm waters? If I lived, and DM'd or Instructed...

Question Where to find custom made wetsuits?

I purchased one from here, that I LOVE, in the Spring. I added sippers at the ankles, two thigh pockets, and a front 1/4 zip at the neck. I choose all black but they do offer color accents that are quite prominate. https://www.jmjwetsuits.com/products/one-piece-dive-fullsuit/2

    Unbearable itching because of sweat

I get a similar issue in the groin area from excessive heat and sweat and movement. Took a while but I finally found the solution in the application of foot fungus powder. Shower, dry, apply powder, and leave area as uncovered as possible at night. Reapply in the morning. (I shower in the...

When diving with an AI computer do you also use a Redundant/backup analog pressure gauge?

I do not. Don't see the need. Just end the dive. I do not carry an extra 2nd stage, LPI inflator, Fin, Mask, Mask strap, fin strap, or tank valve with me on a dive in case one of those happens to go bad. I would just end the dive. I do keep a analog SPG on hand, along with other extra pieces...

    Best scuba advice you’ve received

All of that is very true. I am of the opinion you learn more about your diving from actually diving then you do from reading about. That said....let's not ignore the fact that posting the comment "Dive more, Post less" in a Scuba forum is funny as it is the opposite of the advice and by...

Second guessing my BC choice (Hydros Pro)

30 dives is not very many to be making a big decision about changing. I am not sure if your listed Total dive count is correct but if it is I would suggest the following: 1) Make 100% sure your weighting is correct for total weight & placement of weight. 2) Make 100% sure the shoulder & waist...

People embarrassed to do pre dive buddy check?

This is one of the truer things in all of this. The only caveat is that all involved are savvy enough to stay calm and work it out. I know this opinion is not popular but my experiences have shown that calm, capable, and aware can sort most anything out if everyone can breathe. That...

I always have a singe slate or wetnotes on me to make any communication clear if signals are not working. Simple, cheap, and effective.

Question Sidemount BCD for a petite female

Two LP50"s would be 26# less than two AL80's. I can't see how that would be an issue. Even LP85's should be fine weight-wise since they are nearly identical to the AL80. Tell me what I am missing in understanding.
