    Look in a more recent thread about the rix sa-6. Ian has some good advice about setting up some pressure gauges to do some checks. First, take off the compressor cover and clean it all up, you’ll then be able to check for worn parts etc. according to the manual

    So the EN standards and CMAS rules are for manufacturers of the equipment? For example; you can not breath thru a snorkel below a certain depth, so you can not manufacture a snorkel over a certain length?

    Luis and rsingler thank you very much. Luis, can you get that into the VDH Manuals? Have not started tearing into the pilot yet, it’s my winter project when I get down to my boat. Think I read something about a ball bearing and a rocking boat.

    On eBay they’re called pin spanner wrench. Similar to the expensive motion pro type. There are ones with exchangeable pin sizes but you could file down to what you need if too big on a fixed tool

    Thanks guys. Yes it’s out there, there has been a couple sold on ebay years ago. VDH has the schematics. They also have the Air1 service manual if anyone’s looking for that.

    i am looking for the service procedure manual for the pilot 2nd stage. I’ve been at this for a week looking through old threads, which there is a good one in here about the o-rings, on another site asking, even the auction site. I’ll buy one even. Can someone help me out? Thanks

    new guy greeting

    New guy here, Tales of the abyss, been reading through that lately. That’s some neat stuff. I am 62, have a few double hosers and love diving vintage and free. May want to get in to photography, we’ll see. Currently tinkering with some old scubapro regs.
